Timothy Bradley wonders what happened to Mosley, says he looked shot in last fight

By Dan Ambrose: WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (26-0, 11 KO’s) didn’t like what he saw of 39-year-old Shane Mosley in his last fight against Sergio Mora in September. Mosley fought to what many boxing fans describe as a gift draw against Mora. Based on that fight, Bradley doesn’t give Mosley much of a chance to beat Manny Pacquiao in their fight in May.

Speaking to onthegrindboxing.com, Mosley said “I watched Shane in his last fight and I was just like, ‘What is going on? What happened to Shane Mosley, man?’ I don’t know. He looked impressive against [Antonio] Margarito, then he fought this tough kid and I was like, ‘Man, what happened? And he just looked shot. Just shot.”

What Bradley fails to mention is how bad Mosley looked not just in the Mora fight, but also in his one-sided 12 round decision loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in May of last year. That was far worse than the Mora fight. Mosley looked literally like an old man after the 2nd round, and just like a statue, looking tired, old and confused. The reflexes weren’t there, the stamina was gone and his reaction time to shots thrown at him was delayed.

It’s sad that Bob Arum, Manny Pacquiao’s promoter, has selected Mosley out of all the possible guys that he could have selected for him to fight. It may make a little more money for Arum and Pacquiao, but it won’t likely give boxing fans an entertaining fight for the kind of money they will be forced to pay for this mismatch.
