I hear Froch flapping his gums every now and then pining away for a fight against Jean Pascal, a guy he already beat. But there will be plenty of time for Froch to take on the recently beaten Pascal after Ward takes care of Froch on December 17th in the Super Six tournament finals.

And just in case we get one of those weird fights where the judges score opposite of what actually took place in the ring and Froch somehow is given a controversial win, then Anthony Dirrell, Froch’s mandatory challenger will be waiting for him in the weeds to take him down like lion.

Froch’s time as a champion is about up I hate to say. Earlier tonight, Anthony Dirrell (24-0, 21 KO’s) looked magnificent in stopping the devastating puncher Renan St Juste in the 4th round. This wasn’t just a stew bum that was thrown in with Dirrell, this was an incredibly talented fighter with knockout power in either hand.

Dirrell fought in composed manner the entire fight, getting out of the way of St Juste’s big bombs and countering him with laser guided right hands to the head. It was a privilege to watch Dirrell work, he’s an amazing fighter in a whole different way compared to his older brother Andre Dirrell.

I don’t know what Froch can do. I know he wants to face Mikkel Kessler and Pascal again, but I don’t think either of those fighters will give Froch the time of day once he gets handled by Dirrell or Ward. There will no longer be any point in fighting him once he’s been exposed again.
