Astral Prediction: Why Mayweather will win

1-LR_MAYPAC-TRAPPFOTOS-FINAL PRESSER-0311By Mead Johnson Dempsey: Welcome! Look into my crystal bowl and this is what will happen on May 2nd in the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao mega-fight on HBO/Showtime pay-per-view for this Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pacquiao, 36, will out-hustle WBA/WBC welterweight champion Mayweather in this fight. Pacquiao will risk getting knocked out just to push the pressure on Mayweather. Point of the matter is, Pacquiao is the workhorse here. Mayweather will be countering all night.

Mayweather is the brainchild of boxing, and he got this in the bag in my view. The MGM Grand is his home. The referee working the fight, Kenny Bayless, has worked some of his past fights. Sho Sports is already planning an epilogue of the May 3 fight on May 7.

For this fight, Manny’s back is already on the ropes. For Manny, it feels like Round 12 and he badly needs to KO just to win this fight. Manny had a hard time flatting out an amateurish Chris Algieri in their fight last November in Macau, China. It would be next to impossible to KO an arm-hugging, bicycle riding, sharp and talented Mayweather. After 12 rounds, we go to the scorecards. The Judges will favor Mayweather via a gift decision. Doesn’t matter if it’s a split decision, unanimous decision, or majority decision, it’s still Floyd.

Epilogue:

At the end of it all, many people will feel cheated by Las Vegas when they hear
‘the best ever’ [TBE] Floyd Mayweather to be the lineal champion. That is Las Vegas after all. Pacquiao’s fans will be upset on the next day of May 4. The number 4 is bad luck according to some people. (But they will be okay on May 5 because Manny is unscathed and is bathing in millions of dollars.) On the other hand, Mayweather in America would be happy the next day of May 3. The number 3 is a charm.

Plot twist:

If my prediction is wrong, my other option is that Pacquiao gets KO’d by a flush counter right straight or Mayweather gets KO’d by a “secret punch from Pacquiao” with referee Bayless telling him, “it is over.”

Then, most people from both sides would be satisfied with this kind of result.

Last and the least. Predicting a draw is boring, but the richest athlete is content at being boring. So a draw could also be a possibility as a bet.
