By Mark Havey: Manny Pacquiao has continually angered boxing fans by letting others make important decisions for him. the Filipino hero is basically a nice guy. He has always made unsuccessful attempts at keeping everyone happy. People have always called him a ‘yes’ man. But I think he just entrusts important roles to the people he considers more experienced at it than him.

Pacquiao’s promoter, Bob Arum has been to the Philippines to discuss the next opponent for his most prized boxer. I can only assume that Arum would like Pacquiao to Face Jaun Manuel Marquez or Miguel Cotto next. After all, he is a promoter so wants the draw the big crowds and high PPV. Pacquiao vs Marquez IV or Pacquiao vs Cotto II would bring in huge amounts of revenue.

The meeting has failed to determine who the pound 4 pound king will face next. This can only mean one thing, they want different opponents. That is nothing new. I think Pacman is holding firm on his desire to avenge his controversial loss to Timothy Bradley. Everyone seems to have seen the fight. Bradley ran for 10 of the 12 rounds and seemed to wobble with every decent shot. Whilst seemingly losing his killer instinct, Pacquiao proved that he is still a great, valid champion. then came the ridiculous result. this must have bothered Manny Pacquiao more than he let on. “I think it’s Bradley,” Pacquiao’s legal adviser, Franklin Gacal, said during an interview with the Philippine Star. “There’s a score to settle with Bradley.”

I think Pacquiao will get his wish. Pacquiao vs Bradley II doesn’t make financial sense. But Pacquiao is a champion, thus will be driven by his competitive nature.
