Arum says Pacquiao to make the choice for his next fight

By Dan Ambrose: Manny Pacquiao’s next fight will be determined with the help of his promoter Bob Arum starting next month in January. The list of possible opponents are as follows: Miguel Cotto, Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez. Pacquiao reportedly is leaning in the direction of fighting Timothy Bradley next rather than fighting rematches against Marque and Cotto.
Pacquiao didn’t look like the same fighter he once was in his last fight against Marquez last month. He complained of leg cramps but this has become a habitual problem for Pacquiao that could be tied into the aging effect. If he suffers the same leg cramps against Bradley we could see a new WBO champion. Pacquiao lucked out this last time against Marquez but he might not get lucky a second time.
Cotto would likely be the best choice but he was beaten so decisively by Pacquiao two years ago to where neither Pacquiao nor his trainer Freddie Roach are interested in facing Cotto again. Arum would like to make the fight due to the money that can be brought in on pay per view, but it’s not a fight that Roach or Pacquiao like. Arum may have to really twist Pacquiao’s arm to get him to fight Cotto again.
I think in the end Pacquiao may cave in under pressure from Arum to fight the guy he wants him to. That could be Cotto, because he’s the bigger fight compared to Bradley-Pacquiao.

The third fight already settled it! Marquez clearly has Pacs number. Marquez won more rounds but Pac got the Top Rank decision as usual because he is Bob’s cash cow.

If Manny Pacquiao HAS to fight one of the three, I would prefer Manny fight Bradley because he is young and undefeated. In addition, Bradley comes straight forward and puts lots of pressure on his opponents, so it would be more interesting than fighting Marquez and Cotto again. Pacquiao will TKO or KO Bradley in 10 rounds.
Manny gave Marquez three opportunities to Marquez, yes three, and Marquez proved nothing–no wins. Back paddling with LESS TOTAL punches thrown and landed won’t win you titles. So marquez is done, boring and way enough.
Cotto got brutally beaten by Pacquiao two years ago, so I think a history will just repeat itself inside the ring if they fight again.
Timothy Bradley doesn’t have the skill to keep up with Pac Man. It will be an easy one side fight. Bradley is very venerable to left hooks & uppercuts and thats what Pac Man likes to do in the ring. Manny is too quick with solid chin while bradley is not even a hard hitter. Even if it goes to decision the outcome will will for Pacqauio.
Instead he should consider fighting Juan M Marquez or Mayweather thats what the fan wants.
mayweather sr. went to jail and now mayweather jr. is following his father’s footsteps to jail. Like-father-like-son. Evil men will have to learn behind bars.
crazy how everyone just writes off cotto. im a fan of all fighters in the sport who i feel should be in the elite and cotto is one of them. i see this fight being more difficult for pacquiao since cotto has already seen what it takes to beat pacquiao and land those clean shots. cotto has gotten better since he has fought pacquiao before and it will really be a major test for pacman. bradley i just dont feel he deserves the fight yet..i feel as if bradley needs to beat a legit contender as in berto/ortiz winner…marquez I feel deserves the shot but honestly even tho every single one of their fights are great..i am kinda tired of watching them mix it up…if I had to pick then it would be berto/ortiz winner..brandon rios or cotto
He will cherry pick on smaller fighters like Peterson . Even though he(Peterson) is taller ,pacquiao will be the bigger fighter in terms of muscle mass.

Marquez is boring,, he is afraid to attack Pacman, he is the challenger but Manny brings in the fight..How would it happen if Manny will just wait for Marquez to attack, and if Marquez will do what Manny did, surely he will be easily knocked out somilar to Hatton.

As for me I would prefer a final fight with Marquez. Even though some say it was a robbery it was too close to call and merits a fourth meeting. I think JMM will knock out Pacquiao this time.
Arum needs to go with coto or I really wanna see Marquez whip PAC again. But I think PAC fears Marquez,so PAC wont fight a real warrior like Jaun. Coto is more known and it will be an easy fight for PAc,if he fights coto. As for bradley,I know hardcore philloohino PAC fans that don’t even know who Bradley is. Bradley is a nobody,and is a Terrrible fighter,who likes to use his head a lot. I see Bradley cutting pac with a head butt,in a boring fight. It’s either marquez or coto….
