Mayweather vs. The Incredible Pacquiao’s Urinalysis and More

By Rasheed Catapang: The Pacman’s run of havoc left a lot of fallen elite fighters in its wake. He’s gunning for another fight which is turning out to be the final battle of good versus evil. But before that, we need to clear some bad blood.
The Golden Boy must still have nightmares of the bloody eight rounds of being in the Pacmonster’s opposite corner. It’s frustrating to him not being able to hit back both in the dream and in real life – especially now that he’s retired. I reckon an opportunity presented itself in Mayweather-Pacquiao to somehow rectify that but the solution was found wanting.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. may give the air of nonchalance but he does care. He cares about his perfect record no matter how much he insists that “legacy doesn’t pay bills.” Therefore – it’s me just thinking out loud now – it’s better to run away and fight another day.
Throwing mud hoping some would stick is still fair game – if it’s claimed as a ploy or subterfuge. The same old rule applies: “All is fair in love and war.” And that’s currently where we’re at.
If perception is reality, the truth therefore is compromised. It’s never more so than in the Mayweather-Pacquiao’s boxing superbowl. Oscar dela Hoya won’t tell us the truth about his last bloody 8 rounds but quite frankly who would when all of us are just as proud. Factor in that he’s also a promoter and things will surely be not what they seem. That said, Oscar Dela Hoya is compromised. “He’ll tell you what he wants to hear and disregards the rest… Hu-Hu-Hmmm.”
And what did Dela Hoya tell us? “He never hits hard. He never felt Pacquiao’s punches.”
Again, what did Dela Hoya tell us? “Those Mosley punches, those Vargas punches, and those Pacquiao punches all felt the same.”
“Lie-la-Lie….”
Dela Hoya then wisely would deny such nonsense. And Brutus is an honorable man.
But then again, so is P.T. Burnum. And, so is Floyd Mayweather Sr.
It’s clear on his mind what Pacquiao is and ain’t on. He’s got the verses for his reasoning. How can we fault him for his passion when his sincerity –showing through his verses – is beyond reproach? Yes, sincere. All bad poetry is sincere according to Oscar Wilde.
Pacquiao’s run is just not possible. Never mind that Floyd Junior, a 5 division World Champion, has had similar success to Pacquiao. In Floyd Senior’s mind, what Pacquiao is doing is “Incredible Hulk” stuff. “It is what it is,” so the old man says.
Floyd Jr., the self-acclaimed Greatest Ever, says Amen (in the name of the father which is also his own).
Now some would say its gamesmanship but what’s really on Floyd Junior’s mind? Is it as clear and simple as Floyd Jr. knowing this is one fight he could not win? Or is it just Floyd giving Pacquiao a bitter pill to swallow and Arum a dose of his own medicine. The irony is Mayweather could always counter – which is his wont – using the words of the Master.
“Yesterday I was lying but today I’m telling the truth.”
Through it all Armageddon’s still just around the corner. Though Pacquiao sued, the fight might still happen.
Or maybe not.
Just as well, Mayweather Jr. remains undefeated and Pacquiao the P4P King. Dela Hoya’s predicament will linger a while longer. And Floyd Sr. could always say what’s on his mind (and the boxing fans at wits end trying to decipher).
Regardless, boxing lives forever.

Keep dreaming guys. Why would we demand such stupid drug testing protocol if Floyd really wants to fight? $40 million? Floyd can get that in 5 easy fights!

I’m not arguing about how they get detected cos I’m no expert I just thought I’d give you that link. And if both of them can be detected by urine then what the hell are these Mayweaters insisting on blood testing when Pacman already agreed on random urine test.

an honest pacman fan…..both EPO and HGH can be detected by urine analysis. have you heard about quest diagnostics? in 2004 athens olympics there are 2,969 urine and only 691 blood samples collected by WADA. according to them those blood samples used for health screening only while those urine samples used for doping.

EPO urine test….is a method use to detect RECOMBINANT EPO(outside sources).
lucas….there are 2 kinds of HGH. natural and artificial. natural hgh are the ones that body produced. some people have abnormally high on HGH but this is just natural and therefore you can not accuse him/her that he/she is using HGH. on the other hand, artificial HGH is come from outside sources. if you remember the guy who won the tour de france(not armstrong but the other american)claimed that his abnormal HGH was naturally produced, but through urine analysis they found out that the HGH he had came from outside source. he was suspended and stripped his title.
Mr. Sweetsci… Well, actually EPOs cannot be tested in urine at all! EPOs dont make a person really huge like test/roids etc., but it makes you last longer and have much more energy and strenght. HGH (growth hormone) is believed by some that it can be found in urine, but many scientists and experts are saying that there are new kinds that cannot be detected in urine. All and all, only blood is 100% certain to detect EVERYTHING that a person a can use. By the way, GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT, EPOs cannot be found in urine (most kinds of HGH can nowadays).

One thing straight.Manny defeated De la hoya when he was a merely a shadow of his former self. A prime De la Hoya would have HANDS DOWN KO’d Pacquiao FACT! I also believe Cotto was a shell and never recoverd from the Margacheeto fight.

And Oscar continues to get more money for every Pacquiao fight. Pacquiao can make up an excuse, “lie-la-lie”, i.e. afraid of needles i.e. superstitious, but when he fights Yuri or some other cherry-picked opponent the fact remains that Oscar gets a cut of the pie. And why? Because this honest man Pacquiao signed two contracts at the same time. This honest man who’s switched political parties three times to try and win political office- and failed all three times. And Pacquiao is such a great draw that he got a little over half of the PPV buys against Oscar that Floyd got.
Floyd Mayweather jr. will embarrass Manny Pacquiao worse than he did Juan Manuel Marquez. Why you ask? Because Manny will continue swinging at air and it will happen so often it will look comical.

Rasheed Catapang: You are by far the most unprofessional, non sensical sports writer I have ever hear read! This is so biased, untrue and plain not fair. Its just too easy to love the “good guy” Pacquiao and dismiss the “loud mouth jerk” Mayweather, but lets look at the real facts, pal!
Mayweather came out and challanged first and the most aggressivly, bottom line! It took Pacman several days to even mention Mayweather’s name! Not only that, but Mayweather was the first to agree to ALL of Pacman’s outrageous demands and Mayweather just wants a fair fight that they both will take the tests and Pacman starts to cry about it and cancel instead of just doing it.
Secondly, a urine test wont show EPOs and Human Growth Hormone (which I have taken myself years ago)and PacMan lied first by saying hes scared of needles (they disproved with his tattoos), then he said it weakens him (then they disproved by the Hatton fight) and then doctors came out and said it wont wekane Pacman.
Now wouldnt you think that Pacquiao would want to show the whole world hes not a cheat? No, instead he crys like a baby and screws over all the fans!
Secondly, Pacman requested outrageos demands and Mayweather agreed every time, so ITS PACMAN WHO IS BACKING OUT!!! What do you have to hide, Pacman?!?!?!!
Mayweather is just afraid of Manny and thats why of all his 40 fights are picked, cause he knows he can beat them. He knows that Manny will punch him hard until he surrenders just like everybody did.
Mayweather is an incredible fighter with many skills…punch power, footwork, defense, counterpunching to name a few. However, I believe Manny is the one to beat him. he himself is an amazing fighter, and with his super quick punches, and being able to punch effectively in any position with both hands, along with his technical skills. Manny will be Mayweathers biggest test and will win.

Im a French Canadian amateur boxer. I admire both fighters. I have great respect for Floyd. I believe he is the one to beat. His cunning in the ring is unmatched. However, I love how Pacquaio fights. He is a boxer’s boxer. He along with Mosley, Bradley, Paul Williams (and Cotto 3 fights ago) has the best chance of defeating Floyd. From what I witnessed in the Cotto fight, he can absorb tremendous punishment and doesn’t get worn down for all 12 rounds. If he hits Floyd with the Hatton type of power punch its lights out! That is if he hits him. My best bet is he will. Let if Floyd survives the beating from a relentless two fisted smart boxer. Its going to be really interesting!

People are ignoring the fact that the random BLOOD tests is STILL a sticking issue with the PACMAN camp and it remains that for no other reason than I can think of.
Its only a tool for Mayweather to use to damage Pacman mentally if there is some mileage in it. He would look awfully silly if Pacman comes back clean.
It seems more likely he is ensuring that Pacmans camp have to become over cautious in their preperation and mean he may come into the bout soft.
As a boxer, I feel I have some leg to stand on when I say, Mayweather’s ability is fantastic and is admired by many in the sport, even if his head isnt. I don’t support a fighter because he will stand on stage like Hatton and act like a lout. I follow boxers who I can learn technique from. Couldnt care less if he’s a goodie or baddie. What you guys will see in this fight is a Manny Pacquiao fighting like you have never seen before. In the past he has walked up to his opponents and swinging with both hands…THAT WILL NOT HAPPEN THIS TIME!!!
Floyd Mayweather will force Manny to fight a game of chess. His fight game. Pacquiao will have too because everytime he begins to punch and open himself up, Mayweather will step out of range then reenter with the fastest, most accurate potshots Manny has EVER faced. Then you say…Manny will walk through them? Perhaps, but for how long can you walk through them? 2, 4, 5 times?
Pacquiao, Cotto was only able to connect with a very small percentage. Mayweather will connect with a high percentage rate, very accurate well placed punches, and to top things off, Manny won’t be able to reach Mayweather!

He schooled Marquez, the man Pac-Man is allegedly afraid of rematching. He beat a two weight world champion, so-called best Light Welterweight Hatton, he beat the Future Hall of Famer – Golden Boy….. we could go on. Mayweather, is a top fighter and unlike Cotto or Hatton, will not walk into Pacquiao. He is an awesome counter puncher. To suggest he is running scared does not hide the fact that he is one of the few men ever with the tools to beat the current Pac-Man. (And let the record show, I said CURRENT pacman.) For those of you out there who have ever fought in a ring, you will agree, that last night before your fight when you can’t sleep….. presence of fear does not mean absence of courage.

The record that he accomplished is what he can only brag about,because he doesn’t care about the fans and the rest of the world of boxing.I don’t think he even cares that he’s fight after fight, majority of fans are so amused of booeing him.Thats him, you can’t change it!
