During the face-off today, Robeisy & Dogboe had to be physically separated because neither one was willing to back down and face the audience are their prolonged staredown.

You could tell from the energy that this fight is important to both, and they’re not taking it lightly.

For the blue-chip amateur star Robeisy, it was expected that Top Rank would move him rapidly as they did two-time Olympic gold medalist Vasily Lomachenko.

Robeisy’s upset loss in the first fight of his career against Adan Gonzales arguably slowed things down with how he was being brought along because he needed to avenge the loss, which he did with ease a year later in 2019.

Robeisy Ramirez vs. Isaac Dogboe, how to watch?

Ramirez vs. Dogboe will be shown live on ESPN+ this Saturday, April 1st, at 7:10 p.m. ET/4:10 p.m. PT, live on ESPN+. The event will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The skills that Robeisy has shown since his loss have been nothing short of amazing, and he looks virtually unbeatable now. That’s bad news for Dogboe because he’s capable of capturing a world title at featherweight, but not against Robeisy.

In Robeisy’s last three fights, he’s stopped Jose Matias Romero, Abraham ‘Super’ Nova, and Eric Donovan.

Like always, the former WBO super bantamweight champion Dogboe looked as chiseled as a Michelangelo statue comes to life, and you see that he’s in optimal condition for this critical fight.

What remains to be seen is if the 28-year-old Dogboe can hold up under the pressure & firepower of the talented Cuban southpaw Robeisy, who may be the best fighter in the 126-lb division now.

Dogboe has shown himself to be a fast starter during his career, and this Saturday night will likely be no exception. His problem is that he tends to fade in the later rounds and take punishment in fights he was winning early.

Undercard weights:

  • Joet Gonzalez 126.2 vs. Jose Enrique Vivas 126.2
  • Jahi Tucker 151.8 vs. Nikoloz Sekhniashvili 150.2
  • Jeremiah Milton 255.8 vs. Fabio Maldonado 215.8
  • Tiger Johnson 142.8 vs. Alfonso Olvera 142.8
  • Dante Benjamin Jr. 175 vs. Jasper McCargo 177.4
  • Emiliano Fernando Vargas 133 vs. Edgar Uvalle 132.2
  • Abdullah Mason 135.2 vs. Erick Garcia Benitez 135.4
  • Rohan Polanco 142.4  vs. Ricardo Quiroz 142.6

In Dogboe’s last bout against Joet Gonzalez, he looked sensational in the first five rounds, taking the fight to his overmatched opponent. However, in the second half, Dogboe faded, and Joet came on strong, battering him at will with shots.

In the end, one judge had Joet winning  96-94, while the other two gave it to Dogboe 96-94, 96-94.
