By Dallan O’Donnell: Former World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight champion Frank Bruno has given his backing to Audley Harrison in Harrison’s heavyweight clash with David Haye for the WBA belt on November 13th. Bruno who finally got his world title at the third time of asking thinks Audley’s size advantage will be pivotal for him in the fight. Bruno went on to say that Harrison is a natural heavyweight and is much underestimated as a fighter, and with his southpaw style he could beat Haye. Again this is just more hype for the fight itself. Bruno may be a fan of Harrison but surely he can see that with Hayes power and speed this is surely a no contest. Bruno did have something to say about Haye also, saying in an article at Sky Sports News he was a good fighter but he didn’t like all “The jumping around he was doing” before the fight adding that he “Didn’t like certain things Haye was saying” and that it was “Bad for boxing.”

It isn’t bad for boxing all fighters like to hype up fights to make people purchase the fight on PPV. Mind games seemed to have kicked off already with Haye as we know ordering Harrison back 18 days before the fight when Harrison admitted he doesn’t usually come back from his high altitude training camp in America until 10 days prior to a fight. But Audley traveled back to Britain arriving on his 39th Birthday. At Heathrow airport Harrison said he was not happy traveling on his Birthday being away from his wife and daughter but it didn’t matter as he was “Knocking David Haye out”.

Harrison was ordered back to help sell the fight but the fight will sell itself no matter how much a joke it is, fight fans want to see the outcome. Despite Harrison receiving backing from other heavyweights like Bruno and the Klitschkos who are probably just trying to get under David’s skin there is only one outcome on November 13th and that’s Haye winning by KO before the 4th round.
