It doesn’t matter that Dirrell won’t be in the tournament, because Ward just as good as Dirrell and will be able to beat either of these guys in the next round. It’s really tragic that Dirrell had to pull out of the tourney due to the neurological problems, but he’s going to be fighting in future.

This isn’t it for him. But Abraham and Froch, those guys are basically fighting for nothing because both of them are going to get badly beaten when the time comes to face Ward.

It’s hard to pick which fighter is less flawed between Froch and Abraham, because they’re both so painfully slow of foot and hand. I suppose Froch is the more beatable fighter, and that’s simply because he refuses to pick up his guard and protect his head from the rain of blows that are aimed at him.

Froch has taken some savage beats while in the Super Six tournament already, first from Dirrell and then from Mikkell Kessler. Abraham may be slow and clumsy looking, but he can punch like an ox. He’s going to be teeing off on Froch from the opening bell, and I can’t see this ending well for Froch.

I think he’s going to get knocked cold. The WBC super middleweight is going to be up for grabs for that fight, but it’s pretty pointless to have that title on the line because it won’t stay in the possession of the winner for any length of time before its’ ripped away by Ward.
