Image: Chisora vs. Klitschko – Del Boy will do better than Wlad’s last 5 opponentsBy Joe Mitchell: It has been confirmed that unbeaten British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion will fight the No1 heavyweight Wladimir Klitschko on December 11th in Germany. Although people see this as a complete mismatch I do not. Chisora is a young hungry opponent who will at least try his best when he gets in the ring unlike recently Sam Peter who said he his greatest shape but fought in the ring like a novice and tried to just knock out Wladimir quickly and after the first round he just froze in the ring and Wlad toyed with him for 10 rounds before eventually stopping him.

Wlad has picked his opponents well recently but this time he has gone with a fast heavyweight who can punch, kind of like David Haye and it could well end up backfiring on him. It will be a challenge, Wladimir’s recent opponents have been well ranked and have previously good records but a real boxing fan knew they had no chance. However, Chisora is light on his feet and has good movement that might give Wlad trouble especially if it takes him 10 rounds to take out a walking punch bag.

I have heard people saying Sam Sexton, Chisora’s last opponent, was landing easily on him with the jab. But what people don’t know is that Chisora was close to pulling out that fight with the flu he had a week before the fight and he was nowhere near as sharp as he could be. I can understand that because David Haye was getting hit by John Ruiz and people asked questions, but because of a cut reopening he missed those vital last weeks of sparring that help you become as sharp as a razor. I have no doubt Chisora will come in against Wladimir in the best shape of his life, being razor sharp and actually have a solid game plan.

I am not saying Chisora will beat Wladimir but give him some credit for taking the fight which many have rejected because of the contract and give him the respect as a fighter because I believe people are seriously underrating this guy who could have gone around the European circuit and probably beaten most the guys out there.
