Image: Bradley: Pacquiao can be beat; I'll press the attack against this guyBy Chris Williams: Timothy Bradley (28-0, 12 KO’s) says he knows WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao’s weaknesses and thinks he can be beaten when they meet up on June 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Bradley, 28, is a huge underdog in the fight, but he’s undefeated and is getting Pacquiao at the right moment in his career with Filipino fighter coming off a gift decision win over lightweight Juan Manuel Marquez last November.

Bradley told the LA Times “He [Pacquiao] can be beat. I just need to get in there and follow my game plan. I know his weaknesses, his favorite combinations. In my mind, I’m definitely going to win. I’ll take it to this guy.”

Bradley has dominated every opponent he’s faced since winning a close call 12 round decision over Junior Witter in May 2008. There hasn’t been an opponent since that has even remotely given Bradley a tough time. Bradley has done especially well with shorter fighter in the height range of the 5’6” Pacquiao, and we could see Bradley continuing his domination with a resounding win over Pacquiao on June 9th.

Bradley is an excellent inside fighter, a lot better than Pacquiao in that area. He knows that he can’t let Pacquiao hit and run like he was doing in the Antonio Margarito fight if he wants to beat him. He’s got to make the Filipino fighter work hard so that he can wear him down, and drown him in the later rounds of the fight.

Bradley doesn’t have the power to knock Pacquiao out, but he does have the skills to embarrass him and beat him decisively enough to where even the pro-Pacquiao crowd will be taken out. Pacquiao definitely got a gift decision in his last fight against 38-year-old Marquez, but he likely won’t get a similar gift against Bradley because he’ll make sure he throws more punches than Marquez did.

If you give the judges an excuse to give the fight to Pacquiao, they obviously will. You got to make it so that if they do give the fight to Pacquiao that it will make them look even worse than the judges who gave Pacquiao the win over Marquez in his last fight.
