He stems from a fighting family. His father, Bobby Gunn, is not only a former gloved boxing champion of the world, but the current unrivaled bare knuckle boxing champion of the world.

Because of his diligence and unrelenting work ethic, he has been ranked the number one contender for the Canadian Pro Boxing Council. Now any fight fan knows that is typically unheard of. Most fighters have to go to war for years to be ranked in such an impressive fashion.

“We have him ranked the number one contender because he is unbeaten, has a great record and is Canadian,” said Don Collette, President of the Canadian Pro Boxing Council. “As a fighter I think he’s a wrecking machine waiting to be unleashed. He is going to be a world champion; there’s no doubt and it’s just a matter of time. I think he first wants the Canadian Title and that should happen in 2017. Then from there we the CPBC can open more doors for him Winning the title will have him rated with the NABO top 15, and once we secure the NABO Title shot we will get him rated in the WBO world rankings.”

“It’s truly humbling being recognized by the CPBC,” said Gunn Jr. “Boxing is such a part of my life, and I want nothing more than to continue to win, work my way up the ranks, and eventually become world champion.”
