This fight is special for Wilder because it’s going to be beamed nationwide by Showtime in the United States, so a lot of boxing fans will get a real treat by seeing him fight for the first time. The Wilder-Price fight will be on a heavily stacked card with Amir Khan vs. Carlos Molina headlining it with Leo Santa Cruz vs. Alberto Guevara as the co main event.

The two big heavyweights were just going to be fighting in a simple 10 round fight with nothing on the line other than pride, but now that this title is up for grabs in the fight it just got little more interesting because it’ll be the 27-year-old Wilder’s first attempt at grabbing a heavyweight strap in his still young four year pro career.

Wilder’s the real talent here. Wilder has one-punch knockout power in both hands, and he’s already been predicted to go all the way to a heavyweight title by 2013 by none other than the late great trainer Emanuel Steward.

Wilder came over to help Wladimir and was just one of many sparring partners he had in the camp.

Wilder emerged as the top guy and he really helped out Wladimir in this camp. But it wasn’t just Wilder helping Wladimir. Wilder learned a great deal from sparring with the 6’6″ Wladimir for three weeks day after day. With the camp behind him, Wilder will now be able to show off what he learned for his Showtime televised fight against unbeaten 6’7″ Kelvin Price (13-0, 6 KO’s) on December 15th at the LA Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California.

By Steven Ocallaghan: I might not be the best person to pass comment on American heavyweight Deontay Wilder (25-0, 25 KO’s) as have only seen a handful of his fights but I do know enough about boxing to comment on a fighters skills and punching ability.

Wilder at 6’7″ is the typical size now of the super heavyweight division. Hes lean and quick with decent punching power, after all 25 KOs in 25 fights does elude to that. That is where the compliments have to stop. While am no huge fan of Tyson Fury, he has faced decent opposition and takes on another former world title challenger in Kevin Johnson. Fury has also faced and defeated tough Londoner Derrick Chisora who gave a good account of himself against Vitali Klitchko.
