By Jim Dower: Former two division world champion Arthur Abraham (46-5, 30 KOs) easily beat #3 WBO contender Robin Krasniqi (46-5, 17 KOs) by a 12 round unanimous decision in their Word Boxing Organization super middleweight title eliminator fight on Saturday night at the Messehall in Erfurt, Germany. Abraham, 37, hurt Krasniqi in the 6th and 9th rounds with big right hands to the head.

Video: Murray vs. Rosado; Krasniqi vs. Abraham tonight
By Scott Gilfoid: In separate venues tonight, four-time world title challenger Martin Murray (34-4-1, 16 KOs) faces Gennady Golovkin knockout victim Gabriel Rosado (23-10, 13 KOs) in Liverpool, England, and former 2-division world champion Arthur Abraham (45-5, 30 KOs) squares off against Robin Krasniqi (46-5, 17 KOs) in Germany. It’s a couple of neat fights. I wouldn’t say it’s the best going against the best, but these are good fringe level contenders fighting each other.
Braehmer stops Krasniqi; Feigenbutz destroys Kelemen
By Scott Gilfoid: In an outcome that was totally expected, WBA World light heavyweight champion Juergen Braehmer (46-2, 34 KOs) made easily work of a badly over-matched #2 WBA contender Robin Krasniqi (43-4, 16 KOs) in stopping him in between the 9th and 10th rounds on Saturday night at the Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany.
Weights: Braehmer 173.3, Krasniqi 173.9
By Scott Gilfoid: Earlier Today, WBA light heavyweight title holder Juergen Braehmer (45-2, 33 KOs) successfully weighed in on Friday for his title defense against Robin Krasniqi (43-3, 16 KOs) this Saturday night at then Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany.
Cleverly could face Braehmer-Krasniqi winner for WBA 175lb title
By Scott Gilfoid: Former WBO light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly (28-2, 14 KOs) could be getting the winner of this Saturday’s fight between WBA World light heavyweight champion Jurgen Braehmer (45-2, 33 KOs) and Robin Krasniqi (43-3, 16 KOs), according to Sky Sports.
If the 28-year-old Cleverly can get past his still to be determined opponent next month on April 25th, he could then be leap-frogging over the top contenders in the light heavyweight division to take on the winner of the Braehmer-Krasniqi fight.
Juergen Braehmer faces Robin Krasniqi on March 21st in Rostock, Germany
By Scott Gilfoid: WBA World light heavyweight champion Juergen Braehmer (45-2, 33 KOs) will be defending his WBA title against #2 WBA contender Robin Krasniqi (43-3, 16 KOs) on March 21st in Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany.
It’s not a fight to get all that excited about, as it’s more of a par for the course for the 36-year-old Braehmer who has been matched very softly by his promoters at Sauerland since he picked up the WBA title with a win over Marcus Oliveira in December 2013.
Krasniqi likely next for Braehmer
By Allan Fox: #2 WBA Robin Krasniqi (43-3, 16 KOs) defeated Poland’s Dariusz Sek (21-2-1, 7 KOs) last Saturday night by a 12 round unanimous decision at the Ballhaus Forum, Munich, Bayern, Germany. The final judges’ scores were 116-112, 115-113, and 116-112.
More important than the win over the little known Sek, the 27-year-old Krasniqi will now likely be the next opponent for WBA World light heavyweight champion Jurgen Braehmer (45-2, 33 KOs) in his next title defense on March 21st at the Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany.
Cleverly-Krasniqi: Robin has a decent chance of beating Nathan
By Scott Gilfoid: The more I see of #1 WBC light heavyweight contender Robin Krasniqi (39-2, 15 KO’s) the more impressed with him. I think Krasniqi, 25, is going to give WBO light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly (25-0, 12 KO’s) huge headaches in their fight on March 16th in a still to be determined venue in the UK.
Cleverly vs. Krasniqi: Nathan with another mismatch
By Scott Gilfoid: WBO light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly (25-0, 12 KO’s) doesn’t appear to be in any kind of rush to face a quality opponent that can really test. He’s thus far defended his WBO title four times and he’s not come close to fighting a good opponent yet that had a real chance of beating him. The 25-year-old Cleverly will continue that trend in his next fight on March 16th against his mandatory challenger Robin Krasniqi (39-2, 15 KO’s) in the UK at still to be determined venue.
Nathan Cleverly vs. Robin Krasniqi on March 16th in UK
By Scott Gilfoid: WBO light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly (25-0, 12 KO’s) will be making a title defense of his World Boxing Organization strap on March 16th against his #1 WBO contender Robin Krasniqi (39-2, 15 KO’s) in one of the weakest divisions by far in boxing in a still to be determined venue in the UK.
Don’t get fooled by Krasniqi’s inflated #1 ranking or his inflated resume. This yet another easy title defense for Cleverly against a guy looks more like a 2nd tier fighter than a 1st fighter.
