By Scott Gilfoid: It appears that David Price’s promoter Frank Maloney has figured out that it’s not such a good idea for him to keep trying to match his fighter Price against the tough as nails American heavyweight Tony Thompson (38-3, 26 KO’s) after Price (15-2, 13 KO’s) suffered his second straight stopped loss to him tonight at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, UK.
Maloney was asked if he’d be interested in matching Price against Thompson again so that he can avenge his two losses, and Maloney said no. He’s going to step Price backwards a step and have him fight at the domestic or European level; that’s if Price chooses to continue with his boxing career.
