Bradley: Pacquiao is going to try and bring the fight to me – it won’t work

bradley55333By Chris Williams: WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley (31-0, 12 KO’s) already knows what challenger Manny Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KO’s) will be attempting to do in their rematch on April 12th by pushing the fight to him, and attempting to put on nonstop pressure for 12 rounds. Bradley sees this as a strategy that will end up failing for the 35-year-old Pacquiao because he already knows how to defeat that tired old plan.

“Everybody knows what Manny Pacquiao is going to do. He is going to bring the fight to me and I am just going to show everyone it is not going to work…I feel that Pacquiao is declining and this is my time.”

Why Bradley is going to win on April 12th

bradley544By Hector Gonzalez: Most of the articles I’ve read regarding Tim Bradley vs. Manny Pacquiao II have something to do with their controversial first fight, to make it clear, I’m not even going to address the first fight. This article is based on where I see both of these men today. My prediction is that Bradley is going to win, he will do it counter intuitively because he’s not going to win by what his hands can do, instead he’s going to win by what his feet can do. Bradley has better footwork than Pacquiao and footwork will be the story of this fight.

Manny Pacquiao’s sensationalism many times does not allow the public to see him doing anything else but be sensational. I’ll give an example, before Pacquiao vs Marquez 3 both Pacquiao and Roach were quoted as saying that Pacquiao would KO Marquez in round 1.

What holds future for Pacquiao and why beating Bradley is imperative

pac25By Yannis Mihanos: Eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KO’s) is a true pound for pound fighter, having come up from the ranks of boxing since turning pro in 1995. Getting raised in an extremely poor background (his first job was selling donuts in the street), he obviously had to learn life the hard way. He also had to learn boxing the hard way with no help or influence but with hard work and determination. And so he climbed at the top, step by step, obstacle after obstacle. Since 2001, Pacquiao’s been working with prolific and 5 times trainer of the year Freddie Roach.

With Roach on his side, Pacquiao was further catapulted to the top, becoming number 1 pound for pound in boxing. Each of his fights is a bank holiday guaranteed in Philippines.

Manny talks about trying to get back his “aggressiveness” in HBO 24/7 Pacquiao/Bradley episode 1

pac64By Chris Williams: The overriding theme of last night’s HBO 24/7 Pacquiao/Bradley episode 1 was Manny Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KO’s) talking about wanting to get back his long lost aggressiveness that abandoned him 1,600 yesterday’s ago when he last scored a knockout over Miguel Cotto in November of 2012. Pacquiao talked last night about how he’s training to get the aggressiveness back for his April 12th fight against Bradley at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“We’re focusing on more aggressiveness and throwing more punches,” Pacquiao said. “That’s what we’re looking for. I should put more on gas and aggressiveness. I will bring back the aggressiveness and the killer instinct that he wants to see. It’s good. It’s kind of challenging me.”

Bradley still refuses to admit that Pacquiao beat him

bradley677By Yannis Mihanos: There has been a lot of talk lately about whether Manny Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KO’s) still has the killer instinct. Reporters mention it on the TV, in the press and internet. People comment on it regularly. Everyone seems to have an opinion these days. WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley (31-0, 12 KO’s) seems to believe it too.

Last night, I watched the HBO 24/7 Pacquaio-Bradley 2 episode one. The episode was mostly a recap of all important events that happened for both Pacquiao and Bradley the last 2 years.

There were indeed many ups and downs, mostly for Pacquiao, who had 2 loses but also for Bradley who had to face extreme criticism even threats after their first fight in 2012.

Does the Pacquiao-Bradley 2 undercard bring value?

martinez1By Chris Williams: If you’re one of the many boxing fans who will be purchasing the April 12th Manny Pacquiao vs. Tim Bradley 2 rematch on HBO pay per view, you might not be too happy with what you’re going to be getting for your hard-earned money in looking at the undercard fights. If you don’t care at all about what fights are on the undercard, then this isn’t too much of a worry for you. But for boxing fans paying $70 to see the Pacquiao-Bradley 2 rematch, they not be too happy at seeing the absence of appealing fights on the undercard.

The Top Rank promoted Pacquiao vs. Bradley 2 card isn’t the only one that is less than impressive. Golden Boy Promotions has a couple of cards coming up on April 26th and May 3rd that has undercards that is largely filled with mismatches between known stars against lesser guys.

HBO 24/7 Pacquiao-Bradley 2 tonight at midnight – 12:00-12:30 a.m ET/PT

bradley2323By Chris Williams: HBO will be televising episode 1 tonight of the 24/7 Pacquiao-Bradley 2 at midnight – 12:00-12:30 a.m ET/PT, following the Sergey Kovalev vs. Cedric Agnew broadcast at 10:00 p.m ET/PT. The Pacquiao-Bradley 2 24/7 episode will be the first of three episodes that leads up to their rematch next month on HBO on April 12th from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

HBO is going to be looking into the training and lives of the Filipino star Pacquiao and WBO 147lb champion to try and get fans interested in shelling out to see it.

I think it’s a decent quality fight between Pacquiao and Bradley, although I don’t know if the 24/7 series will do anything to persuade anyone to purchase the fight card on PPV if they’re sitting on the fence.

Is Manny Pacquiao up for the challenge against Tim Bradley?

pac43By Yannis Mihanos: The fighting pride of Philippines and now congressman, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KO’s) is in a new chapter of his long career is facing once again the undefeated Tim “Desert Storm” Bradley (31-0, 12 KO’s) in an important rematch next month on April 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas Nevada.

Pacquiao, having lost 2 out of 3 of his last fights, is definitely at a crossroads in his long pro career. A possible defeat can take him farther away from the potential showdown with the No. 1 pound for pound fighter in boxing Floyd Mayweather Jr, who Pacquiao still badly wants to fight.

Bradley: Pacquiao’s career might be over if he loses to me

bradley32483By Chris Williams: WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley (31-0, 12 KO’s) thinks he could be the guy that takes Manny Pacquiao’s scalp once and for all in their rematch, and sends the 35-year-old fighter skittering into retirement from the loss. Bradley knows that the Filipino star literally has his back against the wall at this point in his career with 2 losses in his last 3 fights.

Pacquiao has been full of excuses for his two losses, but the way Bradley sees it, Pacquiao won’t be able to come up with any excuses after he beats him for the 2nd time on April 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. He’ll have to either retire or accept the fact that he’s not even the 2nd best fighter in the welterweight division. He’ll be behind Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Bradley in occupying the #3 spot.

Bradley vows not to repeat mistakes in rematch against Pacquiao

pac6755By Chris Williams: The last time that WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley (31-0, 12 KO’s) fought Manny Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KO’s) in 2012, Bradley chose not to wear socks with his shoes. This resulted in Bradley’s foot moving around his shoe from the sweat. He had worked out previously without socks on a hard ring surface in his training gym, but it was a much harder surface than the one that he found in the ring against Pacquiao at the MGM Grand on June 9th in 2012. The ring was real spongy and slow, according to Yahoo Sports.

Bradley wasn’t able to move well on the ring, and his feet kept slipping in his shoes due to him not wearing socks. Eventually, Bradley ended up injuring both feet during the fight from them slipping in his shoe.
