Pacquiao wants to leave no doubt in Bradley fight

pac3366By Chris Williams: Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KOs) will be facing Tim Bradley (33-1-1, 13 KOs) in the third and possibly the final fight of his career in less than two weeks on April 9 on HBO PPV, and Pacquiao wants to leave no doubt this time who the better fighter is of the two. The two fighters have faced each other twice with each winning one fight a piece.

While there is some controversy about whether Bradley deserved to win the first fight in 2012, there’s no question that Pacquiao rightfully won the second fight in 2014. However, this was before Bradley had Teddy Atlas as his trainer, and it was also before Pacquiao was schooled by Floyd Mayweather Jr. last May.

Roach excited about Pacquiao’s speed and power in camp

YouTube video

By Chris Williams: Trainer Freddie Roach is excited about what he’s seeing from former eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KOs) as he gets ready for what could be the final fight of his long 21-year pro career against Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley (33-1-1, 13 KOs) on April 9 on HBO pay-per-view from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Roach believes that Pacquiao has the speed to overwhelm Bradley in this fight. Roach has been seeing that speed from Pacquiao during this training camp. I guess Pacquiao is training at a high level for this camp because his torn right rotator cuff is now completely healed after surgery.

Bradley: This will be the defining moment for my legacy

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Soqyw7Vh7U

By Chris Williams: Trainer Teddy Atlas has come up with a great game plan for Timothy Bradley (33-1-1, 13 KOs) for his third fight against Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KOs) in their fight on April 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bradley, 32, says he didn’t really have a great game plan in his first two fights against Pacquiao.

Buboy Fernandez: Pacquiao will KO Bradley

buboy44By Chris Williams: Manny Pacquiao’s assistant gym helper Buboy Fernandez says Pacquiao will be knocking out former two division world champion Timothy “Desert Storm” Bradley (33-1-1, 13 KOs) in fight number 3 between them on April 9 on HBO PPV next month.

Pacquiao and Bradley are split at 1-1 in their two fights, and this fight will prove once and for all who the better fighter is between them. Buboy thinks Pacquiao will erase all doubt in this fight by knocking the 32-year-old Bradley out in front of the sold out MGM Grand crowd in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“We’re going to knock him out,” said Buboy to sports.inquirer.net.

Bradley: Pacquiao is only fighting for money now

bradley44By Chris Williams: One of the stated reasons for why Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KOs) agreed to fight Tim Bradley (33-1-1, 13 KOs) on April 9 in their third fight together was because of the more pay-per-view buys that Bradley could bring in on HBO PPV compared to the other contestants.

Bradley thinks that Pacquiao is fighting for the wrong reasons at this point in his career. He sees Pacquiao only looking to fight for money than for the love of the sport. Pacquiao will be making his usual $20 million guaranteed along with the pay-per-view upside.

Right now, it’s looking there’s not going to be a lot of pay-per-view buys for this fight due to the lack of interest from the boxing fans. However, you never know. The fight fans might come out of the woodwork on fight night on April 9 and pay to see the two fighters.

Pacquiao explains why he no longer KOs his opponents

pac3366By Chris Williams: Former eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KOs) finally has opened his mouth to speak about why he’s not knocked anyone out in the past seven years. Pacquiao says he’s not a natural 147lb fighter. He’s a 140 pounder fighting in the wrong division.

Pacquiao says he could fight in the 135lb division if he wanted to right now. Why he would want to fight in a division like that would be the big question. The lightweight division is barren of stars, and it would be a crazy move on Pacquiao’s part if he were to move down to that division in hopes of scoring knockouts.

Bradley has game plan to beat Pacquiao

bradley2222222By Chris Williams: Tim Bradley (33-1-1, 13 KOs) says he has a game plan that he feels will lead him to victory over the Filipino star Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KOs) in their fight in less than one month from now on April 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The game plan that Bradley and his new trainer Teddy Atlas have put together should lead them to victory over Pacquiao in this fight on HBO PPV.

The defeat will send Pacquiao into retirement with a loss, and could hurt his chances of being elected into the senate in the Philippines. Bradley obviously doesn’t care about that. He just wants to show Pacquiao and the boxing world that he’s the superior fighter and that he was always superior to Pacquiao.

Thurman talks Pacquiao-Bradley 3 fight

thurman32 - CopyBy Chris Williams: WBA welterweight champion Keith “One Time” Thurman believes that the main reason why boxing fans are interested in paying to see the third fight between Manny Pacquiao and Tim Bradley on April 9 is because the fans want to see how Bradley’s new trainer Teddy Atlas will have an impact on Bradley’s fighting style in this fight.

If not for Atlas, there would be no real reason for boxing fans to see the third fight between them because Pacquiao already proved that he’s the better fighter than Bradley in their first two fights.

Pacquiao was arguably robbed in the first fight, and then he avenged that loss with a clear 12 round decision win over Bradley in their second fight in 2014. So Thurman thinks that there’s no other real reason for fans to see the third Pacquiao-Bradley fight other than to see how Atlas improves Bradley’s fighting style if at all.

Bradley expecting best from Pacquiao

bradley5456By Jeff Aranow: There’s talk that Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KOs) may not be fully motivated for his fight against Tim Bradley (33-1-1, 13 KOs) on April 9. Pacquiao is about to retire after the fight, and he doesn’t have any real reason to continue on in the sport after making a bundle of money in his last fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2015.

Pacquiao has been talking about wanting to score a knockout in this fight, but the talk is that he’s just going through the motions and not training with the motivation that he’s done in the past. Bradley, 32, is expecting nothing but the best from Paquiao.

He doesn’t see him as having any motivation issues, and he thinks his surgically repaired right shoulder will be at full strength when the two of them start throwing punches at each other.

This is a rare fight between Pacquiao and Bradley where there won’t be a world title stake or one of the trinket made up belts from one of the sanctioning bodies. In both of their previous two fights together, the WBO 147lb title was being defended.

Roach: Pacquiao’s surgically repaired right shoulder is stronger than his left

Freddie RoachBy Chris Williams: Trainer Freddie Roach is very impressed with the power that Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KOs) is able to get on his right hand shots from his surgically repaired right shoulder. Roach says he’s not sure what his surgeon did to Pacquiao’s shoulder, but he’s throwing with a lot of power.

In fact, Roach thinks Pacquiao is throwing shots with his surgically repaired shoulder harder than with his left. Pacquiao suffered a torn right rotator cuff last May in his fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Pacquiao had surgery days after the fight to repair his injured shoulder, and he’s been out of action ever since.
