By Steve Lewis: The buzz lately has been the perceived “progress” in the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao negotiations. We do not know yet what the terms are of the deal, so it would be prudent to reserve judgment or opinion as to whose court the ball is on at this point. Regardless of when this super fight will take place (whether it will be before or after the Philippine elections), it is being projected as the biggest moneymaker in boxing history.
Mayweather vs. Pacquiao
Give Mayweather Jr his credit!
By Jorge Lugo: In a world where everyone takes advantage of each other Mayweather Jr has used his head just as much as his fists. With everyone (including Me) stating Mayweather hasn’t fought real fights or that he is a average fighter is one thing. But the fact is, from what I understand. Mayweather has agreed on his half to fighting Manny Pacquiao in 2010.

Mayweather-Pacquiao: Mega-Fight In The Vegas Light on March 13th
The Real Cash Cow – Pacquiao or Mayweather – of the Sweet Science (part 1 of 2)
By Matt Matel: Two paths are bound to collide sometime between March to May of 2010. Amidst all the talk of the possibility of the bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. not coming to fruition because of purse issues and varying out of the ring vocational interests, many still believe that this is the bout that would put boxing back in the map, back to being relevant again.
It is not a sin to like both Money & Manny
By Klaas Mabetlela: Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have divided the boxing fans down the middle and the fans’ fight is reaching a boiling point. For most general fans, Money may have already lost the fight with Manny even before the bell rings. Mayweather will still be labeled as ‘boring’ and not brave enough after the fight even if he wins clearly. His sin is being the most complete practitioner of trade during his era. Love him or hate him, the guy just knows how to box and has a boxing brain second to none. For most general fans, this is still not good enough.
The Manny Pacquiao Wars Part II: Rise of the Player Haters
By Steve Lewis: Previously, I had written about the common post-Pacquiao fight phenomenon called “Monday Morning Quarterbacking.” There is also another sister effect to Monday Morning Quarterbacking. It has been part of our landscape since time immemorial. It is what is referred to by the newer generation as “player hating,” which is often defined as the disliking, resenting, or disapproving of a person due to his/her success or coveted assets. The term “player hater” is often associated with those who are jealous or envious of someone else’s achievements.
Why Floyd “Money” Mayweather Might have a chance against the Mighty Pacquiao
By Derrick Villanueva: I recently wrote an article entitled 5 Reasons Why You Should Bet on Pacquiao. I think it’s only fair to write a similar article for “Money.”
“Money” has Great Defense – I’ve never seen a better defensive fighter than Mayweather. Never. Maybe Ali in his early career, but that’s about it. “Money” is quick, slippery, and nigh un-hittable-like a Young James Toney on Meth. Those punches that do connect slide off or is rolled with, resulting in minimal or no damage. I hate to say it but Mayweather is nothing short of Brilliant in this department.

Mayweather-Pacquiao: Let Me Discredit The Critics!
By Dewi Powell: My previous article described Cotto-Pacquiao as a fight that is the pinnacle of the welterweight decade; I worded it carefully because I knew the winner of that fight against Mayweather would be the pinnacle of the welterweight era! However, most people seem to have already predicted that Mayweather-Pacquiao has an absolute certain conclusion without looking at any tactical issues. I’m writing to dispel the criticisms of Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, read with an open mind and disconnect yourself from any bias or loyalty you may have ….
