Mayweather Sr. thinks fans won’t pay for a Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch

1-11-4By Chris Williams: Trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. doubts that there will be much interest from boxing fans in a second fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao due to how one-sided their May 2nd fight was and how “terrible” Pacquiao looked.

Floyd Sr. doesn’t see a rematch between the two fighters as being necessary because the outcome would be even more one-sided than the first fight. Mayweather has already said that the Filipino star won’t be getting a rematch due to the excuses he made for his loss.

Pacquiao didn’t have a game plan for Mayweather fight, says Robert Garcia

1-MAYPAC-FIGHTNIGHT-TRAPPFOTOS-5147By Chris Williams: Robert Garcia, the trainer or Marcos Maidana, says he was disappointed in the performance from former WBO 147lb belt holder Manny Pacquiao and his team in his 12 round unanimous decision loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in their fight of the century on May 2nd.

Garcia didn’t see any real game plan from Pacquiao’s team in that fight, and he felt that he didn’t do a great job in giving Mayweather a competitive fight.

DeGale doesn’t buy Pacquiao’s injury excuse

1-MAYPAC-FIGHTNIGHT-TRAPPFOTOS-5321By Scott Gilfoid: Super middleweight contender James DeGale says he watched the mega-clash between welterweight stars Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao and he says he thinks that Mayweather won 10 of the 12 rounds.

At best, DeGale gave Pacquiao 2 rounds in the fight. But what was upsetting to him was the injury excuse that Pacquiao used after the fight about him having a bum right shoulder that he came into the fight with.

Atlas questions Pacquiao’s heart and determination in Mayweather fight

atlasBy Chris Williams: Manny Pacquiao and his promoter Bob Arum revealed that Pacquiao was suffering from a right shoulder problem after his loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. That injury supposedly was tied in to why Pacquiao came up short against Mayweather in losing a 12 round unanimous decision last Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

One person who has doubts on validity of Pacquiao’s injured shoulder playing a part in his defeat to Mayweather is ESPN commentator Teddy Atlas, who feels that Pacquiao didn’t show any sign of having a bad shoulder injury during the fight. Atlas says that even if Pacquiao did have a problem with his right shoulder, it shouldn’t have prevented him from walking forward and looking to throw his left hand all night long.

1-MAYPAC WEIGH IN-TRAPPFOTOS-3616By Chris Williams: It’s looking like the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight last Saturday will not only break the all-time pay-per-view number of 2.4 million but it will also likely shatter it by a considerable margin.

Is Mayweather Jr. unbeatable?

1-MAYPAC-FIGHTNIGHT-TRAPPFOTOS-6748By Adam Foy: Floyd Mayweather Jr. would have us believe he is the finest pugilist this world has ever seen. His aim is, and has always been, to leave behind a legacy of greatness that is beyond any sensible argument. Now, at 38 years of age, every fight is a statement for Mayweather, a box ticked, an exclamation mark on a dazzling career.

The accusations that tend to be leveled at great fighters can’t really be leveled at Floyd; from Super-featherweight to Super-welterweight he has convincingly defeated every fighter of note his generation has to offer, re-matching any close decisions and stamping out any doubts as to his superiority.

Pacquiao needs to beat Mayweather in rematch to repair image

1-MAYPAC WEIGH IN-TRAPPFOTOS-3632By Robert Elmore: I don’t believe that Manny Pacquiao has a torn rotator cuff at all. It might be injured. But torn; no way. He lifted his hands (in what he thought was a victory for him) at the end of the fight against Floyd Mayweather. And now, Team Pacquiao is saying that he will require surgery and will be out up to a year. And that story has changed. CBSSports.com ran a story that Pac would be out 9 to 12 months.

One day ago, abs-cbnnews.com said that only be out for six months. Which one is it? I might be more prone to believe this injury had “cut gate” not happen in his third encounter with Juan Manuel Marquez not happen.

Mayweather v Pacquiao: Thoughts and STILL possible rematch…

1-MAYPAC-FIGHTNIGHT-TRAPPFOTOS-5730By Francisco Gurrola Jr. – A lot of people are asking for a rematch and some say there is no need. The fact is that both Floyd Mayweather Jr’s fans and Manny Pacquiao’s fans admit that the fight was not what was expected from both of these fighters.

Yes, it was expected that Mayweather would simply do what he does best, but what was not expected was that Manny did not throw enough punches. As a boxing fan and follower i felt let down by the fight overall. I thought that the fight would be a huge turnout with a more even scorecard; unfortunately for a lot of fans and myself that was not the case.

Deontay Wilder: Pacquiao ought to be ashamed of himself

Bermane Stiverne vs Deontay WilderBy Scott Gilfoid: WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder doesn’t think too much of former eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao for failing to disclose his shoulder injury well before the fight last Saturday night against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Wilder thinks Pacquiao should have not talked about the injury after the fight the way he did. Wilder believed that Mayweather was simply too good for Pacquiao in this fight, and that’s why he won it, not because of Pacquiao’s shoulder injury that he came into the fight with.
