pacquiao35367By Frank Car: Bob Arum, Manny Pacquiao’s promoter said if Pacquiao “let’s Mayweather off the hook now by not agreeing to the March 13th date because of the politics here in this country then we are never going to get him (Mayweather) in the ring. Marketing Floyd Mayweather: What is the Appeal?

mayweather3445342By Steve Lewis: The buzz lately has been the perceived “progress” in the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao negotiations. We do not know yet what the terms are of the deal, so it would be prudent to reserve judgment or opinion as to whose court the ball is on at this point. Regardless of when this super fight will take place (whether it will be before or after the Philippine elections), it is being projected as the biggest moneymaker in boxing history.

Give Mayweather Jr his credit!

mayweather4534556By Jorge Lugo: In a world where everyone takes advantage of each other Mayweather Jr has used his head just as much as his fists. Amidst all the talk of the possibility of the bout between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. not coming to fruition because of purse issues and varying out of the ring vocational interests, many still believe that this is the bout that would put boxing back in the map, back to being relevant again.

It is not a sin to like both Money & Manny

mayweather434485By Klaas Mabetlela: Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao have divided the boxing fans down the middle and the fans’ fight is reaching a boiling point. For most general fans, Money may have already lost the fight with Manny even before the bell rings. Mayweather will still be labeled as ‘boring’ and not brave enough after the fight even if he wins clearly. His sin is being the most complete practitioner of trade during his era. Love him or hate him, the guy just knows how to box and has a boxing brain second to none. For most general fans, this is still not good enough.
