Mayweather: This is going to be a much cleaner fight; no rabbit punches

_DSC6395(Photo credit: Idris Erba/Mayweather Promotions) By Chris Williams: Floyd Mayweather Jr (46-0, 26 KOs) expects his rematch with Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31 KOs) to be a much cleaner fight than the last time they fought, because sees the referee working the fight to be on his job on September 13th to keep Maidana from taking it to the next level in terms of fouling.

Mayweather feels that referee that worked their last fight played it too loose by failing to address the fouling, but this time he’s confident that Maidana will be playing it clean. Maidana was fouling left and right without the referee stepping in to take control over the fight. It was pretty bad in the first half of the fight especially when Maidana had a lot of energy to rough Mayweather up. As the fight wore on into the second half, Maidana was tired and not fouling as much.

Maidana: Mayweather’s going home early on September 13th

By Chris Williams: Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31 KOs) expects to send Floyd Mayweather Jr (46-0, 26 KOs) home early on September 13th in their fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Maidana tried last time to KO Mayweather and he failed. And now Maidana is going to try it again on September 13th to do what no man has done before against Mayweather to put an ‘L’ next to him.

Maidana says he’s been working on trying to throw more punches, because he feels that this is the best way for him to try and score a stoppage win over Mayweather. Maidana obviously thinks Mayweather is going to position himself against the ropes like he did the last time they fought in order to give him a handicap.

Mayweather beat Maidana two months ago in winning a 12 round majority decision on May 3rd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. One just scored the fight 114-114, while the other two had Mayweather winning by the scores 116-112 and 117-111. I agree with the 117-111 score. Mayweather won a comfortable decision in negating Maidana’s best power shots by blocking most of them on his gloves and shoulders.

Maidana likely to get Mayweather rematch

may300By Dan Ambrose: Marcos Maidana (35-4, 31 KO’s) could win the Mayweather sweepstakes for a second straight time as Floyd Mayweather Sr. is saying that Floyd Jr. told him that he wants the rematch with Maidana next September. Floyd Sr. wants to try and convince him that he’s better off facing someone else for his next fight, because Maidana’s fouling makes him someone who’s not a good opponent for a second fight.

Floyd Sr. thinks there was way too much fouling from Maidana in their previous fight for him to get a second crack at Mayweather.
