Wladimir needs to get rid of Wach as quick as possible

By Jason Kim: If trainer Emanuel Steward were still around today to help get IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 50 KO’s) ready for his November 10th fight against the big punching Mariusz Wach (27-0, 15 KO’s), Steward would likely tell Wladimir to try and KO the 6’7 1/2″ Wach as soon as possible and not to let him stay in the fight due to the risk involved because of Wach’s powerful right hand.

Wach getting Wladimir during vulnerable point in his life

Image: Wach getting Wladimir during vulnerable point in his lifeBy Jason Kim: 32-year-old Mariusz Wach (27-0, 15 KO’s) is getting IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 50 KO’s) at a really vulnerable time with his trainer Emanuel Steward having passed away this past week, leaving inexperienced heavyweight contender/sparring partner Johnathon Banks to tank over for Steward in the training of the 36-year-old Wladimir.

According to RingTV, Steward told Wladimir that he should have Banks take over the training for him. It sounds good but that still won’t result in Wladimir getting the same training expertise that Steward gave Wladimir. With Steward now gone, Wladimir won’t have that calming and expert advise in between rounds for the Wach fight to let him know what to do and getting Wladimir to calm down if he suddenly starts getting rattled from the huge right hands that Wach is bombing him with.

Klitschko-Wach: Can Wladimir beat Mariusz without Emanuel Steward?

Image: Klitschko-Wach: Can Wladimir beat Mariusz without Emanuel Steward?By Jason Kim: IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 50 KO’s) will be without his longstanding trainer Emanuel Steward for his next fight against Mariusz Wach (27-0, 15 KO’s) on November 10th at the O2 World Arena in Hamburg, Germany. Steward passed away this week from an undisclosed illness in the United States, leaving Wladimir to have to fight without his help against the hard hitting Wach.

Wladimir has replaced Steward with his sparring partner Johnathon Banks, who Wladimir says he’s quite happy with. He respects Banks’ expertise and likes the way he can analyze a fight. However, it’s still not going to be the same as having Steward’s tremendous knowledge there helping Wladimir. Steward has trained a huge number of top fighters throughout the years, and he’s going to be missed in the corner whether Wladimir wants to acknowledge it or not.

Deontay Wilder: Wladimir will beat Wach by KO

Image: Deontay Wilder: Wladimir will beat Wach by KOBy Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder (25-0, 25 KO’s) is picking IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 50 KO’s) to defeat Mariusz Wach (27-0, 15 KO’s) by a knockout next month in their big title fight at the O2 World Arena in Hamburg, Germany.

Speaking with Ringpolkska, Wilder said “I don’t think he’s [Wladimir] underestimating him [Wach], but I think [he’ll win] by knockout.”

The reason why the talented Wilder can expertly pick a winner for this fight is because he’s currently one of Wladimir’s top sparring partners in his training camp to help get Wladimir ready for Wach, and he knows just how good Wladimir is after having sparred with him a number of times already.

Wach should not be underestimated

Image: Wach should not be underestimated(Photo credit: Michael Freitag) By John F. McKenna (McJack): Polish heavyweight contender Marius Wach (27-0, 15 KO’s) believes he has a legitimate chance to upset WBA/IBF/WBO/IBO and Ring heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 51 KO’s). Wach and Klitschko will clash in Hamburg, Germany on November 10.

Klitschko is currently on a 16 fight winning streak and chalked up his 51st KO when he stopped Tony Thompson in July. At the moment Wladimir appears unbeatable to a large segment of boxing fans, but that could work against the 6’6” KO artist. One only has to go back into boxing history to see how many “unbeatable” fighters fell to overconfidence. Perhaps the most shocking defeat in recent times was when Buster Douglas KO’d heavy favorite Mike Tyson in 1990. No one thought Buster had even a remote chance of defeating “Iron Mike”, but he had confidence in himself, and wound up dominating Tyson.

Helenius-Willams & Klitschko-Wach doubleheader on EPIX

Image: Helenius-Willams & Klitschko-Wach doubleheader on EPIXBy Jason Kim: American boxing fans are getting a great deal through EPIX with their November 10th split site doubleheader. They’ll be showing IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko’s title defense against Mariusz Wach from Hamburg, Germany, and unbeaten heavyweight contender Robert Helenius (17-0, 11 KO’s) making his comeback against journeyman Sherman Williams (35-11-2, 19 KO’s) from the Ice Hall, in Helsinki, Finland.

Helenius, 28, hasn’t fought since tearing up his right shoulder in his controversial 12 round split decision win over Dereck Chisora last December in Helsinki, Finland. Helenius fought well enough to lose that fight, but was instead given a controversial hometown decision. The win came at a cost, however, as Helenius badly injured his right shoulder and subsequently needed surgery to repair the problem.

Wach has the power to beat Wladimir

Image: Wach has the power to beat WladimirBy Jason Kim: #14 WBA, #15 IBF, #15 WBO Mariusz Wach (27-0, 15 KO’s) has the one ingredient he needs to beat IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 50 KO’s) on November 10th and that’s the power in both hands. If there’s one thing that you absolutely need to beat the fragile-chinned Wladimir, it’s big power because he’s clearly vulnerable against big punchers, as we’ve seen in his knockout losses to Corrie Sanders, Ross Puritty and Lamon Brewster.

Wach and Wladimir will be fighting in front of what will likely be a huge sellout German crowd at the O2 World Arena, in Hamburg, Germany. The fans are going to be clearly on Wladimir’s side in this fight, so Wach isn’t going to be able to count on loyal Polish fans in supporting him in high numbers to help him win this fight. I’m sure some of his fans will make it to the fight in Hamburg, but just not enough to where it’ll make a difference for him.

Klitschko to fight Wach without Steward

Image: Klitschko to fight Wach without StewardBy Jason Kim: IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 50 KO’s) is expected to be fighting for the first time without his long-time trainer Emanuel Steward next month on November 10th against contender Mariusz Wach (27-0, 15 KO’s) at the O2 World Arena, Altona, in Hamburg, Germany. For the 36-year-old Wladimir, he’ll be fighting without Steward’s help for the first since since he fought Danell Nicholson in December 2003. Steward has been working with Wladimir consistently for the past eight years, and likely won’t be able to work his corner due to Steward still recovering stomach surgery.

Steward has had a huge affect in shaping the Ukrainian’s career turning him from a vulnerable brawler into a near unbeatable boxer/puncher during this time frame. Steward’s record with Wladimir is an incredible 16-1, showing the positive affect that he’s had on his career. Steward pretty much turned Wladimir into a Lennox Lewis type of fighter with his tendency to throw a lot of jabs, straight right hands and using a lot of clinching to keep shorter opponents from getting their shots off in close.

Wladimir looking to keep his long winning streak alive against Wach

Image: Wladimir looking to keep his long winning streak alive against WachBy Jason Kim: IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 51 KO’s) is coming into his November 10th fight against #14 WBA, #15 WBO heavyweight contender Mariusz Wach (27-0, 15 KO’s) with a 16 fight winning streak when they meet up at the O2 World Arena, Altona, in Hamburg, Germany.

While that’s not as long a winning streak as the 32-year-old Wach with his 27-fght winning streak, the difference here is that Wladimir accumulated those victories over quality opposition for the most part, whereas Wach picked up his wins over weak 2nd and 3rd tier opposition.

Klitschko vs. Wach: Mariusz to possibly use Wilder and Austin for sparring partners

By Allan Fox: Unbeaten contender Mariusz Wach (27-0, 15 KO’s) could wind up with American heavyweights Deontay Wilder and Ray Austin as sparring partners to help get him ready for his bout against IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 51 KO’s) on November 10th at the O2 World Arena, Altona, Hamburg, Germany. The 32-year-old Wach badly needs some larger heavyweights that are close to the same height and reach of the 6’6″ Wladimir.
