Boente: We don’t take Haye seriously; Vitali will decide whether to retire in mid-December

Image: Boente: We don't take Haye seriously; Vitali will decide whether to retire in mid-DecemberBy Scott Gilfoid: Bernd Boente, the manager for WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko, says that Vitali won’t be making a decision about whether he’ll retire by mid-December, according to Sky Sports News. Vitali could choose to retire depending on how well things go for him in politics in Ukraine.

Boente told SKy Sports News “Whether Vitali fights on depends on the political situation…We will have a clearer picture of the political landscape in mid-December. After that Vitali will make a decision.”

Wladimir: Haye has to learn to behave and how to fight

Image: Wladimir: Haye has to learn to behave and how to fightBy Scott Gilfoid: IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko doesn’t see any point in his brother WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko wasting his time by fighting his leftovers in former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye. Wladimir doesn’t see it as being a worthwhile fight for Vitali other than for money purposes, and he doesn’t seem interested in fighting Haye again himself despite the World Boxing Organization installing Haye as their #1 WBO contender recently.

Wladimir said to the Bild.de “I honestly don’t know why he believes that we need him as an opponent. Haye has to learn to behave, and then properly fight. That would be good everyone. His talk no use.”

Haye not interested in fighting Fury, only Vitali Klitschko

Image: Haye not interested in fighting Fury, only Vitali KlitschkoBy William Mackay: Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) doesn’t want to fight unbeaten heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s), even though it would mean a lot of money for Haye if he were to do so. Haye mentioned a couple of reasons why he’s not interested in fighting Fury and David Price, saying to IFilm London “They’re too big and too young. I’m just a cruiserweight.”

Haye continued on about Fury “As for me fighting him [Fury]? No, I’m only getting back in the ring for Klitschko, No one else.”

Haye squawking about a contract with Vitali already being agreed upon

YouTube video
By Scott Gilfoid: David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) must really want a fight with WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko awfully bad, because he’s talking about a contract with him even before ones been given to him. It’s like asking for dinner when it’s breakfast time. Vitali isn’t offering Haye anything.

Vitali is right in the middle of his political elections and here Haye is flapping his gums for anyone who wants to hear him talk about a Vitali fight. Good god, man, and have some patience.

Does Haye really want Klitschko?

Image: Does Haye really want Klitschko?By John F. McKenna (McJack): For quite some time now former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) has been insisting that he wants to fight WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (45-2, 41 KO’s). In fact when the “Hayemaker” “retired” last October upon reaching his 31st birthday he conceded that he may be tempted to make a return to the ring if he were able to land a fight with one of the Klitschko brothers.

Obviously Wladimir wanted no part of a rematch with David because of the nature of his one sided humiliation of Haye. “Dr. Steelhammer” realized that boxing fans would not be willing to watch another episode of Haye doing his flop and dive routine in an effort to avoid his hammer shots. But there are some boxing observers who, after watching David’s destruction of the supposedly steel chinned Derek Chiosora (15-4, 9 KO’s), feel that he would have a decent chance of defeating the larger, slower Vitali Klitschko.

Vitali must fight Haye to preserve legacy

Image: Vitali must fight Haye to preserve legacyBy John F. McKenna (McJack): Former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) has done a pretty good job of injecting himself back into the heavyweight mix. In July 2011 the “Hayemaker” was ineffectual and totally humiliated by his performance against IBF/WBA/WBO/IBO and The Ring heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 51 KO’s).

In the fight against “Dr. Steelhammer”, Haye used a broken pinky toe as an excuse for his poor performance. David even took his shoe off to show the injured toe to the press. Haye was widely panned even by his most ardent fans in the British Isles. As it turned out the fight was embarrassingly one sided in Wladimir’s favor. Haye made things worse for himself by using a strategy in which he flopped to the canvas several times during the fight whenever it appeared that Wlad was moving in to unload his arsenal of heavy artillery.

Haye: I’m too fast for the robotic Vitali

Image: Haye: I'm too fast for the robotic VitaliBy William Mackay: David Haye (26-2, 24 KO’s) sees WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (45-2, 41 KO’s) as an easy mark for the pickings due to the big lumbering Ukrainian’s lack of hand and foot speed. Haye figures that he’ll be able to do with Vitali what he did with an equally slow Russian heavyweight Nicolay Valuev in their fight in 2009. Haye was able to out-box Valuev using speed and foot movement to keep from getting hit.

Haye said to the Guardian.co.uk “He [Vitali] has promised the world so many times that he could knock me out. That is rubbish. I’m too fast, too sexy and too talented to be blown away by a large, slow robot from Ukraine.”

Vitali’s manager wants him to retire rather than fight Haye if he wins office

Image: Vitali's manager wants him to retire rather than fight Haye if he wins officeBy William Mackay: Bernd Boente, the manager for WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (45-2, 41 KO’s), prefers that Vitali retire rather than fight on if he wins a political position in the October elections in Ukraine. Vitali is the head of the UDAR party in Uraine and will be taking part in the parliamentary elects next month. He’s got a great chance of getting elected to the seat, and he’s already talked about possibly retiring if that happens.

Boente told the German news organization Sport Bild “If Vitali gets a role after the elections where he can make a difference, I suppose that would be the end of his career. As a friend and manager, that’s what I would advise. The fight for democracy and against corruption is more important than a fight against David Haye.”

Klitschko will likely fight Haye before he retires

Image: Klitschko will likely fight Haye before he retiresBy John F. McKenna (McJack): World Boxing Council (WBC) heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (45-2, 41 KO’s) defeated challenger Manuel Charr (21-1, 11 KO’s) Saturday night in what appeared to be little more than a sparring session for “Dr. Ironfist. Despite now being 41 years old, Vitali proved once again that he is still the formidable champion that he has been since he came back from injuries in 2008 to take the WBC heavyweight title belt from Sam Peter.

The little known Charr had somewhat of a reputation of being a rugged and tough customer before he engaged Klitschko on Saturday night in Moscow. However when the fight started “Diamond Boy” showed very little offense and was content to hold both gloves in front of his face in an effort to avoid Vitali’s punches. It later became clear that Charr’s strategy was to let Klitschko expel energy early in the contest in the hope that he would tire himself out.

Haye: I know I can beat Vitali

Image: Haye: I know I can beat VitaliBy Sean McDaniel: David Haye is eager to get a title shot against WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko now that the 41-year-old Ukrainian has taken care of his light work in beating challenger Manuel Charr last Saturday night by a 4th round TKO.

Haye figures he should be next, and feels that a fight between him and Vitali would be the 2nd biggest fight in boxing behind the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao mega fight.
