Khan’s speed and power too much for Judah

Image: Khan’s speed and power too much for JudahBy John F. McKenna (McJack): Amir Khan’s (26-1, 18 KO’s) training at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Gym in Hollywood paid off big time Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas as he totally dismantled the tentative former International Boxing Federation (IBF) Light Welterweight Champion Zab Judah.

Khan throws punch of lifetime to keep alive his hopes of facing Mayweather

Image: Khan throws punch of lifetime to keep alive his hopes of facing MayweatherBy Brad Jones: Last night Amir Khan (26-1, 18 KO’s) added the IBF light welterweight strap to his WBA strap with a punishing body shot that paralyzed International Boxing Federation light welterweight champion Zab Judah (41-7, 28 KO’s). Khan to his credit stuck to a picture perfect game plan. Not once did he get caught with the Judah left. Zab, who is a great fighter, is no Mayweather. He failed to make the adjustment needed and could not get out of the line of fire from Khan from the 4th onwards.

Will Khan take a soft touch for his next fight?

Image: Will Khan take a soft touch for his next fight?By William Mackay: IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (26-1, 18 KO’s) is drooling over a possible fight next year against Floyd Mayweather Jr, but the problem is the fight – it ever happens – won’t take place until next year. Khan still has a lot of time to go before Mayweather is free to fight Khan in 2012. Khan can’t just sit and wait for that fight. He has to fight someone in December to keep active and try to keep winning fans in the United States.

Khan destroys Judah: How did people not see this coming?

Image: Khan destroys Judah: How did people not see this coming?By Martin Cronin: After reading many articles, from credible sporting websites, predicting the outcome of this fight really left me scratching my head. Was it the Pernell Whitaker factor? or maybe a lot of it was based on the Kaizer Mabuza fight? surely not, but for some bizarre reason people thought this was going to be a step too far for Amir Khan, Judah was going slip and slide Khan’s punches and counter at ease for a couple of rounds before knocking him out wit his devastating power from this wicked left uppercut.

Schaefer: If Timothy Bradley doesn’t face Khan in December, he’s blown his chance

Image: Schaefer: If Timothy Bradley doesn’t face Khan in December, he’s blown his chanceBy Jason Kim: WBC/WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (27-0, 11 KO’s) only has until December to accept a fight against IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (26-1, 18 KO’s) or else Khan will move onto a fight against either Erik Morales or the winner of the Marcos Maidana vs. Roberto Guerrero fight in August for the regular World Boxing Association light welterweight title.

Khan defeats Judah with a beautiful textbook low blow

Image: Khan defeats Judah with a beautiful textbook low blowBy Scott Gilfoid: I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a beautiful low blow like the one WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (26-1, 18 KO’s) finished off IBF light welterweight champion Zab Judah (41-7, 28 KO’s) with last night in Las Vegas. It was like textbook version of a low blow. I could give a class on this along with slides on how beautiful that low blow was in Khan taking out Judah in the 5th. God, what a priceless low blow that was.

Khan to fight an aging Erik Morales in December

Image: Khan to fight an aging Erik Morales in DecemberBy William Mackay: Having just beaten a 33-year-old IBF light welterweight champion Zab Judah (41-7, 28 KO’s), who looked totally shot last night in a 5th round stoppage of questionable nature, IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (26-1, 18 KO’s) is now targeting another aging fighter in 34-year-old Erik Morales (51-7, 35 KO’s) in his next fight in December. Instead of going after a rematch with Marcos Maidana, who really gave Khan tons of problems last December in a life and death fight, Khan is going for a bout against Morales. This has cherry picking written all over it.

Khan proves he is a true contender for the pound for pound crown

By Dallan O’ Donnell: Amir Khan shocked the boxing world for the second consecutive fight in Vegas after he completely destroyed Zab Judah. Khan was far too quick for Judah and the awkward South paw stance of Judah seemed to have no effect on Khan. It was a near perfect display of dominance by Khan who was never hurt at any stage of the fight despite taking one or two heavy shots from Judah.
