By Scott Gilfoid: Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn is planning on matching American heavyweight Jarrrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller (21-0-1, 18 KOs) against past his best 41-year-old Tomasz Adam (53-5, 31 KOs) on his October 6 DAZN card in Chicago, Illinois, according to ESPN. The terms for the Miller vs. Adamek fight have been agreed on, says Dan Rafael.
By Jim Dower: The management for former heavyweight world title challenger Kubrat Pulev has requested an immediate purse bid for an IBF title eliminator against Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller on July 28, according to Dan Rafael. The winner of the Pulev vs. Miller fight will be the mandatory challenger to IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs).

Garcia weighed in at 139 ½ pounds.
By Jeff Aranow: Eddie Hearn says he’d like to match his heavyweight Luis “King Kong” Ortiz (27-0, 23 KOs) against unbeaten American heavyweight Jarrell Miller (18-0, 16 KOs). Hearn says he’s going to speak with those fighters to see if they’d be interested in the fight. Hearn says he already spoke with Showtime Sports executive Stephen Espinoza about the fight, and he’s in favor of it.
It would be a sizable step up for the 38-year-old Cuban Ortiz, who has been fighting over-matched opposition lately in British domestic level fighter David Allen and Malik Scott. The 6’4” Miller has the size and the punching power to at least make a fight of it against Ortiz.
By Eric Baldwin: #4 WBO Jarrell Miller (18-0-1, 13 KOs) feels he’s the most deserving of the top contenders to face WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker. Miller wants the fight against the 24-year-old Parker ahead of #2 WBO Hughie Fury (20-0, 10 KOs) and #6 WBO David Price. Parker and his promoters are working on picking one of those three contenders – Fury, Price or Miller – to fight on April 8 in his first defense of his WBO title.
Miller still has a chance for the title shot, as Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is interested in having him fight Parker for his title. Arum co-promotes Parker. It’s unclear why he would specifically want Miller to fight Parker.
