By Chris Williams: After 17 years of waiting, light heavyweight Bernard Hopkins (50-5-1, 32 KO’s) is looking to get revenge against Roy Jones Jr. (54-6, 40 KO’s) on April 3rd when they meet at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hopkins, 45, doesn’t care that Jones appears to be almost completely shot at this point in his career and was stopped in the 1st round in his last fight against Danny Green in December. Hopkins wants revenge regardless of how poorly Jones was beaten.

Review of the year: A look at the good and bad of 2009 in boxing Part 2
By Michael Taylor: August: At the beginning of August Devon Alexander was introduced to the big time with a victory over Junior Witter, retiring Witter for the vacant WBC Light Welterweight title. On the same show, Timothy Bradley and Nate Campbell’s WBO Light Welterweight clash ended in a no-contest, as a head butt caused a nasty cut over Nate’s left eye, and the fight was stopped. It was originally called a TKO victory for Bradley but was later overruled to a no-contest. Then near the end of the month Juan Diaz defeated Paulie Malignaggi in his home town of Houston.
Hopkins on Jones
By Sam Gregory: Right after Bernard Hopkins ceiled his fiftieth career win in a less than stellar performance in route to a defeat over light heavyweight Enrique Ornelas on the Versus TV network Wednesday night, commentators were excited to show the boxing world what Hopkins had to say about Danny Green’s 122 second stoppage of Roy Jones Jr.
Hopkins still wants Roy Jones Jr.
By William Mackay: Bernard Hopkins refuses to be turned off towards a rematch with Roy Jones Jr., despite Jones being destroyed in a 1st round TKO on Wednesday night by Danny Green in Sydney, Australia. Hopkins defeated an over-matched middleweight contender Enrique Ornelas tonight in a 12 round unanimous decision in Philadelphia.
Roy Jones Jr. Could Blow Chance for Hopkins Bout by Facing Green
By Sean McDaniel: 40-year-old Roy Jones Jr. could ruin his chance for a big money payday in a rematch with Bernard Hopkins if Roy can’t get by his next opponent Australian Danny Green on December 2nd. In hindsight, it might end up being a costly mistake for Jones because Green, a former light heavyweight champion, is still fighting quite effectively and is a very tough opponent for Jones to be taking at this stage in his career.
Hopkins – Jones is signed for 2010 – News
By Liam Santiago: It might be fifth ten years too late, but finally, Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jnr have finally agreed to fight in early 2010, providing Roy Jones beats Danny Green on December 2nd in their scheduled boxing event in Sydney, Australia. Although both fighters are past their prime, this is not a pointless fight, they are both still doing very well and, personally, I can’t wait. A 50-50 split is in place for the bout, however, if a knock out occurs then the loser will take a 40% split with the winner taking 60%.
