Image: Hatton's challenge to the top fighters: "I am after you"By Scott Gilfoid: Ricky Hatton’s comeback has knocked some crazy ideas into his head where he thinks he’s going to beat the top fighters in the sport. I bet. Hatton will be starting his comeback on November 24th against former WBA World welterweight champion Vyachslav Senchenko (32-1, 21 KO’s) at the Manchester Arena (formerly M.E.N Arena), in Manchester, Lancashire, UK. This should be easy fight, even if Hatton is only 50% of what he once was.

Hatton said to the Dailystar.co.uk “To the fighters out there holding the world title belts; my message is that I am after you because I want to get right back to the top.”

Hatton: Senchenko is a better opponent than Katsidis

Image: Hatton: Senchenko is a better opponent than KatsidisBy Scott Gilfoid: Ricky Hatton (45-2, 32 KO’s) was really slathering on the compliments towards his pick for his November 24th comeback at the Manchester Arena, in Manchester, Lancashire, United Kingdom. Hatton, 33, will be fighting the recently knocked out former WBA World welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko (32-1, 21 KO’s) instead someone with a little more clout like Michael Katsidis. Hatton actually sees the 35-year-old Senchenko as a better fighter than Katsidis, as does many of Hatton’s loyal boxing fans.

Hatton said to Sky Sports News “There were certain opponents mentioned, people like Michael Katsidis and people were excited about him coming, but I think this is a better opponent.”

Ricky Hatton will make his boxing comeback against Vyacheslav Senchenko on November 24

Image: Ricky Hatton will make his boxing comeback against Vyacheslav Senchenko on November 24By Stephen Moffitt: Ricky Hatton (45-2, 32 KO’s) will be facing former WBA World welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko (32-1, 21 KO’s) on November 24th at the Manchester Arena (formerly M.E.N Arena), Manchester, Lancashire, United Kingdom. Personally, I think this is a “big” gamble for Hatton. The reason I highlighted the word big is because Senchenko is a big welterweight with decent power!

He maybe coming off a loss to a very impressive Pauli Malignaggi but Senchenko is no journeyman believe me. Hatton has already showed he struggles at welterweight and I think he will struggle even more coming back from a 3-year absence in which he dabbled in drugs and lost his way. No one knows were Ricky’s head is at apart from himself. He recently had a altercation with his father in which punches were believed to be thrown. So surely Ricky Hatton can’t be 100% focused when his personal life has been affected so much in recent weeks.

Matthew Hatton hoping to fight Senchenko for WBA title, Alvarez and Witter are also options

By Sean McDaniel: European Boxing Union (EBU) welterweight champion Matthew Hatton (41-4-2, 16 KO’s) is hoping to challenge WBA welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko (31-0, 20 KO’s) in his next fight. Fighting for a world title has been a dream for Hatton, the brother of former two division world champion Ricky Hatton, all his life. However, fighting and beating Senchenko won’t give Hatton much respect or credibility among boxing fans, because Senchenko is considered one of the two paper champions in the welterweight division.

News – Hatton to Fight In November Against Senchenko?

nuzh7By Jim Dower: Ricky Hatton (45-2, 32 KO’s) could be returning to the ring as early as November to possibly face unbeaten World Boxing Association welterweight champion Vyacheslav Senchenko (29-0, 20 KO’s), according to The Sun. The choice of opponent and the weight class would seem less than desirable for Hatton, because Senchenko isn’t well known and is much bigger than Hatton at 5’10” compared to Hatton’s 5’7.” Besides the height problems, Hatton would also be giving up five inches in reach to Senchenko, who has a reach of 70” compared to Hatton’s 65.”
