By Dan Ambrose: WBO featherweight champion Mikey Garcia (31-0, 26 KO’s) had surgery on his broken nose from his win over Orlando Salido last January and his nose is now healed and he’s ready for his fight against former two-division world champion Juan Manuel Lopez (33-2, 30 KO’s) this Saturday, June 15th at the American Airlines Center, in Dallas, Texas, USA. Garcia’s nose may be healed but it’s still going to be a prominent target for Lopez’s big punches and I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if Lopez breaks it again with a big shot.
I just hope that Garcia doesn’t complain to the referee that he can’t breathe through his nose and then the fight gets stopped again.
