Sanchez: If Rosado stands in front of Golovkin, he’ll get knocked out early

golovkin35By Jason Kim: Abel Sanchez, the trainer for WBA World middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (24-0, 21 KO’s), sees him having a short night on January 19th if the stubborn brawler Gabriel Rosado (21-5, 13 KO’s) elects to slug with him when they meet in an HBO televised fight at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Sanchez hasn’t seen a puncher like Golovkin before and he thinks he can quickly become a huge star in the sport if he can get the other top fighters to agree to fight him. Golovkin is willing to do anything to make the big fights happen. He wants Sergio Martinez, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, Mikkel Kessler, Andre Ward, Floyd Mayweather Jr, Manny Pacquiao and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Sanchez said to the latimes.com “If a guy wants to stand in front of him and fight, no one hits like that. It’ll be a short fight, and it’ll be entertaining…I’ve always trained my guy to hurt somebody.”

Rosado: I’m going to dominate Golovkin

golovkin54By Allan Fox: Gabriel Rosado (21-5, 13 KO’s) sees himself having an easy fight coming up against WBA World middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (24-0, 21 KO’s) on January 19th on HBO at the Madison Square Garden in New York, New York. Rosado doesn’t even see it as a fight, as he thinks his skills and power will be too much for the 30-year-old former Olympian Golovkin.

Rosado said to thaboxingvoice.com “I feel the kind of performance I’m going to have, I’m going to dominate this guy [Golovkin]. I don’t feel this will be close. I’m going to dominate this guy. People are going to be shocked, Man.”

Rosado: A win over Golovkin could get me Canelo, Sergio Martinez or Chavez Jr

gggrosado120112By Eric Thomas: Junior middleweight contender Gabriel Rosado (21-5, 13 KO’s) hasn’t even fought WBA World middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (24-0, 21 KO’s) , yet he’s already looking past him towards big fights that he feels a win over Golovkin will lead to in the near future.

Rosado and Golovkin will be fighting this month on January 19th at Madison Square Garden in New York. Rosado is a big underdog in this fight, and he’s going to have to find a way to show that the betting crowd is wrong by not giving him much of a shot to win this fight.

Golovkin wants Saul Alvarez next after the Rosado fight

golovkin5By Dan Ambrose: WBA World middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (24-0, 21 KO’s) is willing to fight WBC light middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (41-0-1, 30 KO’s) after Golovkin knocks out his next opponent Gabriel Rosado (21-5, 13 KO’s) on January 19th on HBO at Madison Square Garden in New York.

In addition to Canelo, Golovkin also wants Mikkel Kessler, Sergio Martinez, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr and Andre Ward.

When asked by RingTV if he would be interested in fighting Canelo, Golovkin said “Why not? I want Canelo and Sergio Martinez. I want drama.”

Golovkin-Rosado: Gennady looking to win in style on 1/19

golovkin99By Allan Fox: On January 19th, WBA World middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (24-0, 21 KO’s) gets his second chance to impress American boxing fans with his fight against Gabriel Rosado (21-5, 13 KO’s) at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The fight will be televised on HBO, and it’s going to be an important fight for Golovkin to quickly pick up boxing fans. The 26-year-old Rosado is the younger guy, and he thinks he can beat Golovkin at his own game by slugging it out with him.

To be sure, Rosado does have very good power in his own right, but he’s going to have to be able to take a lot of big shots from Golovkin in order to win the fight. That’s the problem. Golovkin hits so awfully hard, and with his trainer Abel Sanchez, Golovkin has become a dual threat on the outside as well as the inside.

Rosado: I’m going to shock the world by beating Golovkin

golovkin312By Dan Ambrose: Junior middleweight contender Gabriel Rosado (21-5, 13 KO’s) still insists that he’s going to pull off a huge upset next month when he faces WBA World middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (24-0, 21 KO’s) on January 19thon HBO at the Madison Square Garden in New York. Rosado is a huge underdog in this fight, mostly because he’s never beaten anyone in Golovkin’s class before, but also because he’s moving up in weight to take the fight.

Rosado has faced one puncher – Alfredo Angulo – during his six year pro career and he was destroyed by that fighter in only two rounds. Rosado’s promoters haven’t put him in with any big punchers since then and he’s done okay against the non-punchers his promoter has put him in with.

Golovkin to fight Rosado at a catch weight of 158 lbs on 1/19

gggrosado120112(Photo Credit/Will Hart) By Allan Fox: WBA World middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (24-0, 21 KO’s) has graciously agreed to fight his junior middleweight challenger Gabriel Rosado (21-5, 13 KO’s) at a catch weight of 158 pounds to accommodate his 154 pound challenger in their fight on January 19th at Madison Square Garden, in New York.

Rosado has been talking about how he’s moving up in weight to take on Golovkin at middleweight, but it’s not quite as impressive now that it’s learned that Rosado will be getting a catch weight handicap for the fight. I’m surprised that Golovkin said yes to it because it’s not as if Rosado is a big name and Golovkin could have found a lot of middleweights that he could have fought without having to give up weight.

Rosado: Fighting Golovkin is more important than fighting Canelo

Image: Rosado: Fighting Golovkin is more important than fighting CaneloBy Dan Ambrose: Junior middleweight contender Gabriel Rosado (21-5, 13 KO’s) sees his fight against WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (24-0, 21 KO’s) as being a more important fight than if he were fighting WBC junior middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez despite the fact that Alvarez is the much more popular fighter than Golovkin is. Rosado and Golovkin will be fighting on January 19th at the Madison Square Garden, New York, New York.

Rosado told thaboxingvoice.com “I think it’s a bigger deal [facing Golovkin] than fighting Canelo. Canelo really hasn’t done anything…he hasn’t fought a legit 154 pounder.”

Golovkin vs. Rosado: Gennady needs better opposition than this

Image: Golovkin vs. Rosado: Gennady needs better opposition than thisBy Allan Fox: WBA World middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (24-0, 21 KO’s) wants to become a big star in the United States but it may be slow going because he’s not getting the top fighters to voluntarily face him. Instead of a big name for his next fight, Golovkin has to settle for Gabriel Rosado (21-5, 13 KO’s) to defend his title against on January 19th at Madison Square Garden, in New York, New York, USA.

I don’t really rate Rosado as a true middleweight. He’s been fighting at junior middleweight since he started his career in 2006, and he’ll be stepping up in weight in this fight to take on Golovkin. That’s not the ideal situation, is it? Rosado was blown out in two rounds by Alfredo Angulo just a couple of years ago, and he’s still the same fighter that Angulo destroyed.

Gennady Golovkin vs. Gabriel Rosado on January 19th in MSG, New York

Image: Gennady Golovkin vs. Gabriel Rosado on January 19th in MSG, New YorkBy Dan Ambrose: Dan Rafael is reporting that a deal has been made for unbeaten WBA World middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (24-0, 21 KO’s) to defend his title against junior middleweight Gabriel Rosado (21-5, 13 KO’s) in an HBO televised fight on January 19th at the Madison Square Garden, in New York, New York, USA. This is the same card as the featherweight contest between WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido vs. Mikey Garcia.

I’m glad that Golovkin finally has an opponent for this fight date, but I’m not too impressed with the guy that they got in the 26-year-old Rosado. However, it was down to either him or middleweight contender Fernando Guerrero, a fighter that had recently been knocked out by 40-year-old Grady Brewer. That wouldn’t have been an appealing fight to see Golovkin vs. Guerrero because the outcome would be obvious.
