Christian Hammer: Fury made a big mistake in fighting me

fury111By Scott Gilfoid: #3 WBO Christian Hammer (17-3, 10 KOs) feels he’s going to have no problems whipping the UK’s Tyson Fury (23-0, 17 KOs) in their clash next month and ruining his dreams of facing Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury in mini-mega fights in the future.

Hammer and Fury will be meeting on February 28th at the O2 Arena in London, UK. Hammer sees his talent level being too much for the 6’9” light hitting Fury, and he thinks the guy made a mistake of picking him instead of another opponent for his tune-up fight on 2/28.

Tyson Fury starts camp for Christian Hammer fight

fury11`1By Scott Gilfoid: #3 IBF, #4 WBA, #4 WBO, #5 WBC heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (23-0, 17 KOs) starts his training camp today for his stay busy fight against #4 WBO Christian Hammer (17-3, 10 KOs) on February 28th at the O2 Arena in London, UK.

Fury is technically facing a top five contender for this fight in order to stay busy for a fight later on this year against IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. However, the 27-year-old Hammer is more like a 2nd tier fighter than a top five 1st tier guy, and it’s hard to take this fight seriously.

Tyson Fury looking past Christian Hammer

fury11By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten heavyweight contender Tyson Fury will be fighting late next month against fringe contender Christian Hammer on February 28th at the O2 Arena in London, UK.

While this is supposed to be a fairly cut and dried mismatch for Fury it’s still possible that he could lose the fight if Hammer can get to his fragile chin with one of his shots. Hammer may not be the biggest puncher in the heavyweight division, but he’s got better power than Steve Cunningham, a fighter who had Fury hurt and on his backside when the two faced each other in 2013.

The 6’9” Fury wants to score a knockout so that he can increase his popularity with the boxing fans worldwide if possible.

Fury’s management team have picked out the right guy for him to knockout, and now it’s just up to Fury to show that he can accomplish that task.

Tyson Fury battles Christian Hammer on 2/28 in London, UK

fury777By Scott Gilfoid: #3 IBF, #4 WBO, #12 WBC heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (23-0, 17 KOs) will be taking a stay busy fight on February 28th against German based #6 WBO Christian Hammer (17-3, 10 KOs) at the O2 Arena in London, UK. Hammer is a weak puncher with limited size at 6’2″. In other words, he’s no threat to beating Fury.

Hammer, 27, is technically ranked in the top 15 given his ranking by the World Boxing Organization. However, none of the other sanctioning bodies has him ranked in their top 15, and it’s pretty easy to see why. He’s very slow, easy to hit, and he’s got an inflated resume filled with power puff opposition.
