Image: Fury not interested in David Price bout; wants Adamek nextBy William Mackay: After destroying another older fighter last Saturday night with with a 5th round TKO win over 38-year-old journeyman Vinny Maddalone, undefeated heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (19-0, 14 KO’s) says he’s not ready to fight heavyweight prospect David Price, and wants to wait until one or them are world champions before he’ll take the fight.

A flat night for British Boxing

Image: A flat night for British BoxingBy Simon Hirst: Saturday 7th July 2012 was meant to be the night two British lions roared to success after proving their credentials and intentions to go on and challenge for world honours. That was the script. It seems two certain Americans, in their own opposite ways, had not read this script. More than that, they did everything to ruin it.

What next for Fury?

By Dan Henderson: Tyson Fury extended his unbeaten run to 19-0 with 14 KO’s after pounding American Vinny Maddalone for five rounds at the Clevedon Arena, Somerset. It was an easy fight for Fury as Maddalone offered little in terms of offense nor defense, it was just some guy not very many people had heard of and not very skilled getting punched repeatedly for five rounds, it reminded of the first Rocky film where Rocky beats on a dead cow it was a pointless fight against a guy not even ranked inside the top 100 by Boxrec.

Maddalone manages five against Fury

By Matt McFahn: Tyson Fury continued his unbeaten streak tonight increasing his paper record to 19-0, giving the aging journeyman Vinny Maddalone his 8th defeat. Fury decided to revert to his orthodox stance in this bout, after a similar five round performance in the southpaw stance against Martin Rogan in April for his last bout. From round one Fury used Maddalone almost as a heavy bag as Maddalone offered and landed little shots in way of retaliation on the 6’9” Fury.

Fury: I think I’m ready for the title; I did a better job against Chisora than Vitali

Image: Fury: I think I'm ready for the title; I did a better job against Chisora than VitaliBy Scott Gilfoid: Some fighters don’t know how limited they are until it hits them over the head and they get flattened. Unbeaten Tyson Fury (18-0, 13 KO’s) seems like he’s just begging to get knocked out. He’s got a fight coming up on Saturday night against Vinny Maddalone (35-7, 26 KO’s), and it would seem like a winnable one for the 6’9″ Fury, but we’ll have to see about that. I have my doubts after seeing how emaciated Fury is after a long training camp and a healthy, perhaps too lean of a diet.

Maddalone has a chance against Fury on Saturday

Image: Maddalone has a chance against Fury on SaturdayBy Scott Gilfoid: I’m starting to change my mind about unbeaten heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (18-0, 13 KO’s) being able to blow out 38-year-old journeyman Vinny Maddalone (35-7, 26 KO’s) on Saturday night in their bout at the Hand Arena, Clevedon, Somerset, UK.

Fury, 24, looks like he’s been a starvation diet in getting ready for this fight, and he doesn’t look at good for this one. He looks like a fat guy that dieting for the wrong reasons. Fury looks like he’s taken off too much weight for this fight, and I’d guess from looking at him, he’s down to the 220s. It’s too light for him, and I think he could knocked cold if Maddalone is able to hit him with some heavy shots, and take the fight into the second half of the bout.
