By Scott Gilfoid: Well, it looks like the injured Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) spoke too soon when he mentioned that the rematch with Wladimir Klitschko (64-4, 53 KOs) would be taking place on October 29. Wladimir says the date hasn’t been set as of yet. They were supposed to fight two days ago on July 9, but Fury came down with an ankle injury.
Some would say the injury was a gift because it saved Fury from having to take the fight with Wladimir while still carrying round an abundance of jellyrolls around his midsection. Fury had no hope of losing that eight before the fight, and he clearly wouldn’t beaten Wladimir while carrying around 20 to 30 pounds of excess blubber.
With the rematch date still not set, Fury should have enough time to burn the remaining bit of fat off in time for the fight.
