By Scott Gilfoid: The World Boxing Council have sent out a press release stating that WBC heavyweight champion Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder (38-0, 37 KOs) must next face the winner of this Saturday’s contest between #7 WBC Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale (18-1, 16 KOs) and #11 WBC Eric Molina (26-5, 19 KOs).
After an unexpected two weeks which included uncertainty and disappointment, heavyweight contender Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale (18-1, 16 KO’s) will return to the ring after all on November 4, 2017 on the Premier Boxing Champions series on Showtime Extreme. Breazeale was originally scheduled to face Bermane Stiverne (25-2-1, 21 KO’s) in what would have been a WBC heavyweight title eliminator with the winner facing either Deontay Wilder (38-0, 37 KO’s) or Luis “King Long” Ortiz (27-0, 23 KO’s). With Ortiz later testing positive for a banned substance, Stiverne was elevated to the main-event now facing Wilder and subsequently leaving Breazeale without an opponent.
A pair of exciting matchups come to primetime network television on Saturday, February 25 as rising super welterweight contenders Tony Harrison (24-1, 20 KOs) and Jarrett Hurd (19-0, 13 KOs) meet in a 12-round world title eliminator and Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale (17-1, 15 KOs) takes on undefeated Izuagbe Ugonoh (17-0, 14 KOs) in a 10-round heavyweight showdown as part of an exciting night of Premier Boxing Champions on FOX and FOX Deportes action.

Joshua will be defending his title in his own hometown in London, England, at the O2 Arena.
Joshua calls the place his “jungle,’ and it’s hard to know whether he feels Breazeale can’t win a decision or what.

Boxers put their bodies to the limit in training camp for multiple weeks leading up until the week they fight. Then, at a last minute’s notice their fight can be cancelled.
This was the situation with top U.S. heavyweight prospect Dominic “Trouble” Breazeale. Breazeale was scheduled to fight Charles Martin on December 12, 2015 and three days before their scheduled bout, the fight was called off. Breazeale was left with no opponent and after taking a week off, went back to training through the holidays in hopes of fighting soon thereafter.
