Fury: No other heavyweight could box Chisora like that

fury55By Scott Gilfoid: Tyson Fury (23-0, 17 KOs) feels that no other heavyweight in the division could have out-boxed the over-matched Dereck Chisora (20-5, 13 KOs) the way that he did last night in stopping him in the 10th round. Fury pretty much pitched a shutout in making Chisora look really bad before his trainer opted to pull the plug on the fight after the 10th.

It was a case of Chisora being too short, too limited and perhaps too over-trained last night. I’m not sure that Fury did anything special in out-boxing Chisora last night, because as awful as Chisora looked in that fight, I think a good many heavyweights in the division would have done the same thing to him.

Fury stops Chisora in 10th; Saunders defeats Eubank Jr

fury6By Scott Gilfoid: In a totally one-sided fight, #4 WBO Tyson Fury (23-0, 17 KOs) stopped #1 WBO Dereck Chisora (20-5, 13 KOs) in a 10th round stoppage on Saturday night in their WBO heavyweight eliminator bout at the ExCel Arena in London, UK.

The fight was halted by Chisora’s corner after the 10th round due to the one-sided nature of the fight. Chisora was bleeding under his right eye and from his nose. The fight was horribly one-sided, and even more one-sided than their first fight in 2011. Chisora was just too slow, too weak and too limited to give Fury any kind of fight.

It’s unclear just how much interest there would be in a fight between Chisora and Fury for casual boxing fans in the U.S, but I’m sure hardcore fans might want to see the fight just for the sake of finding out which of these two guys will

Fury: I’ll give Chisora the biggest war he’s ever had

fury6By Scott Gilfoid: #4 WBO, #5 IBF, #11 WBC heavyweight contender Tyson Fury (22-0, 16 KOs) is promising that his rematch against Dereck Chisora (20-4, 13 KOs) on November 29th will be a war when the two of them meet up at the ExCel Arena in London, UK.

The Chisora-Fury 2 fight will be a WBO heavyweight eliminator bout despite the fact that neither guy has beaten anyone of note during their careers. Fury’s biggest win of his 6-year pro career was against a 260 pound Chisora, which isn’t much of a win given how out of shape Chisora was for the fight.

Fury places tape over mouth for Chisora press conference

fury6By Scott Gilfoid: In what has to be seen as a protest against the British Boxing Board of Control for their stiff £15,000 fine handed out to Tyson Fury (22-0, 16 KOs) for the trash talking he did in the past in another press conference with Chisora, Fury decided to tape his mouth and not speak for today’s press conference.

It was kind of a senseless move on Fury’s part because by not speaking, he’s shooting himself in the foot by not helping to get boxing fans interested in his November 22nd rematch with Chisora at the ExCel Arena in London, UK.

Fury still under contract for Chisora rematch, fight to be rescheduled for possibly October

fury9999By Scott Gilfoid: Well, it looks like Tyson Fury (22-0, 16 KOs) spoke a little too soon about him never agreeing to fight Dereck Chisora (20-4, 13 KOs) again in the future, because Chisora’s promoter Frank Warren says that Fury is still under contract to fight him.

Warren plans on rescheduling the rematch between the fighters as soon as he finds out how soon Chisora will be able to resume training. He’s got an injured thumb on his left hand that needs to heal before he can get back in the ring to resume training for his rematch with Fury. Warren mentioned

Chisora injured, Fury rematch to be rescheduled

fury7811111By Scott Gilfoid: I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Dereck Chisora (20-4, 13 KOs) has reportedly suffered a fractured hand injury and he won’t be able to take the big money fight against Tyson Fury (22-0, 16 KOs) at the Phones 4 U Arena in Manchester, UK. Chisora went to a specialist to examine his injured hand, but he told him he shouldn’t take the fight.

For Fury, this is the third time he’s missed out on a life-changing payday and he’s obviously not happy about it. Fury missed out on David Haye fight due to him suffering a cut the week of the fight on one occasions and then later tearing up his shoulder on another occasion.
