By Yannis Mihanos: Kell Brook (36-1, 25 KOs) defends his IBF welterweight title tonight against unbeaten American Errol Spence Jr. (21-0, 18 KOs) at Bramall Lane in Sheffield, England. Last September, Brook was pummeled by a much stronger opponent in middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin in losing by a 5th round knockout on September 10 at the O2 Arena in London, England. Many boxing fans were surprised by Brooks decision to fight Golovkin. It was a completely unsuspected one.

Brook vs. Spence: Can Errol stop Kell?

Image: Brook vs. Spence: Can Errol stop Kell?

By Gerardo Granados: This Saturday night at Sheffield, Yorkshire, UK, the unbeaten hungry lion Errol Spence will challenge the IBF titlist, Kell Brook. At the weigh in Kell Brook hit the scales at 146.5 and Errol Spence at 146.25 so we have a fight. It’s quite odd but somehow the buildup for this fight and the chocolate brownies didn’t convince that much, but undoubtedly the quality of both fighters and the great atmosphere of the British fight fans are more than enough for me.

By David Alexander: Errol Spence Jr. (21-0, 18 KOs), a member of the 2012 U.S. Olympic boxing team, will challenge Kell Brook (36-1, 25 KOS) on Saturday for the IBF welterweight title in Brook’s hometown of Sheffield, England, before about 30,000 fans. A boxer’s style can reflect his personality at large. Take, for example, the two greatest of their generation: Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather fights at a distance, not allowing anybody in, his guard almost always up. Pacquiao, conversely, often charges ahead, occasionally taking unnecessary risks, leaving himself exposed. Many would say the two men possess those traits outside the ring as well.

By Scott Gilfoid: Errol “The Truth” Spence (21-0, 18 KOs) was short and to the point during Thursday’s final press conference in remaking to the boxing media what the end result will be for IBF welterweight champion Kell “Special K” Brook (36-1, 25 KOs) when the two of them meet on Saturday night by saying it’ll be “Another Man Down.” That’s Spence’s motto, “Man Down,” and he plans on following the motto by quickly obliterating Brook on Saturday night in front of his British fans, which is expected to be over 30,000 fans.
