Theophane: Broner doesn’t have the attributes to beat me

broner1111(Photo credit: Stephanie Trapp/Mayweather Promotions & Nabeel Ahmad/Premier Boxing Champions) By Dan Ambrose: Ashley “Treasure” Theophane (39-6-1, 11 KOs) is hoping WBA Super light welterweight champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner (31-2, 23 KOs) comes out looking for a quick knockout this Friday night in their clash on Premier Boxing Champions on Spike TV from the DC Armory in Washington, DC.

The Broner-Theophane fight isn’t expected to have any problems as far as Broner being at risk of being arrested due to his recent legal problems in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. There’s reportedly little chance that the police will step in to arrest Broner before he steps into the ring.

Theophane, who looks like a lightweight in appearance rather than a light welterweight, says wants to win the fight because of the belief that his promoter Floyd Mayweather Jr. has in him. It’s nice inspiring story when you look at it.

Adrien Broner vs. Ashley Theophane this Friday on Spike

1-Media Update_Training camp_Dave Nadkarni _ Premier Boxing Champions1By Dan Ambrose: WBA Super light welterweight champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner (31-2, 23 KOs) will be defending his WBA title this Friday night on April 1 against #9 WBA Ashley Theophane (39-6-1, 11 KOs) on Premier Boxing Champions on Spike TV from the DC Armory in Washington, DC.

Theophane is one of Floyd Mayweather Jr’s fighters in his Mayweather Promotions stable of fighters. You can argue that Broner is doing Mayweather a favor by electing to fight the 35-year-old Theophane, because he could have elected someone else if he had wanted to. However, the Theophane fight also helps Broner at the same time.

Mayweather says there’s a blueprint to beat Broner

1-About Billions Training Camp _Training camp_Dave Nadkarni _ Premier Boxing Champions3By Allan Fox: Promoter Floyd Mayweather Jr. says there’s a blueprint on how to defeat WBA light welterweight champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner (31-2, 23 KOs). Mayweather’s fighter Ashley Theophane (39-6-1, 11 KOs) will be fighting Broner on April 1 on Premier Boxing Champions on Spike TV from the DC Armory in Washington, DC.

Spike card will go on April 1 even if Broner bout is canceled

1-About Billions Training Camp _Training camp_Dave Nadkarni _ Premier Boxing ChampionsBy Jeff Aranow: The Spike TV card on April 1 will still go ahead if WBA light welterweight champion Adrien Broner (31-2, 23 KOs) is unable to fight on the card against challenger Ashley Theophane (39-6-1, 11 KOs), according to Dan Rafael.

Broner, 26, is dealing with legal problems for his alleged felony assault and robbery charges for an incident that allegedly took place on January 21 in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio. There are reportedly arrest warrants out on Broner.

Adrien Broner: I’m coming to put on show!

Image: Adrien Broner: I’m coming to put on show!By Jeff Aranow: WBA Super light welterweight champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner plans on putting on a show in his first title defense of his WBA 140lb title in eight days from now against #8 WBA contender Ashley “The Treasure” Theophane on Saturday, April 1 on Premier Boxing Champions on Spike from the DC Armory in Washington, DC.

Broner is the favorite in this contest, and there’s the belief that he’s going to have an easy time defeating the 35-year-old Theohane in this fight. However, Broner has struggled in the past against different opposition and it’s impossible to predict how he’ll do against a highly motivated Theophane, who is backed by Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Ashley Theophane ready to beat Adrien Broner

YouTube video

By Jeff Aranow: In less than two weeks from now, underdog Ashley Theophane (39-6-1, 11 KOs) will be taking part in the biggest fight of his 13-year-year pro career when he faces WBA Super light welterweight champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner (31-2, 23 KOs) on April 1 at the DC Armory in Washington, DC.

Like in many of his fights during his career, the 35-year-old Theophane finds himself the underdog in this fight against the 26-year-old Broner. That doesn’t bother Theophane, because he feels that he’s better than Broner, and he’s ready to beat him and take his WBA title.

Theophane: Broner will get worried when I’m still there in round 5

broner100By Scott Gilfoid: Ashley Theophane (39-6-1, 11 KOs) is really up against it in his once in a lifetime world title shot against WBA Super light welterweight champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner (31-2, 23 KOs) on April 1 on Premier Boxing Champions on Spike TV at the DC Armory in Washington, DC. I can’t say I like Theophane’s chances in this fight, but if it’s consolation, he has my pity.

Theophane doesn’t have the punching power to match-up against Broner in this contest, and about the only thing he can really do is try and outwork Broner and count on maybe edging him on the scorecards.

Theophane: Broner isn’t Mayweather

theophane5By Jeff Aranow: Ashley Theophane (39-6-1, 11 KOs) isn’t concerned with fighting someone out of his depth in his bout against WBA Super light welterweight champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner (31-2, 23 KOs) on April 1 at the DC Armory, in Washington, District of Columbia.

Theophane, 35, notes that Broner, 26, has been beaten before in the past. He’s struggled against a number of fighters during his career. Above all, Theophane says he’s not fighting Floyd Mayweather Jr. or a fighter with similar talent. He’s facing a flawed fighter that has been exposed a number of times during his career by good but not great fighters.

Marcos Maidana and Shawn Porter both beat Broner. Those guys are good fighters, but far from great.
