Broner: Mayweather said he was motivated after watching me fight Molina

broner123By Chris Williams: After his impressive performance last Saturday night in whipping John Molina (27-6, 22 KOs) on NBC in the Premier Boxing Champions card at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, Adrien Broner (30-1, 22 KOs) says that he spoke with superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr, who told him he was motivated by his performance against the hard hitting Molina.

Broner’s performance was one of the best of his career with the way he totally handcuffed the hard-hitting Molina with his defensive skills, and had him hitting air all night long.

Molina was so unnerved by the things Broner was doing in the ring that Molina almost completely stopped trying to throw punches after the first four rounds.

Is Adrien Broner destined to fail again?

broner456By DA: If you watched Premiere Boxing Champions on NBC last night from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, you’ll have noticed that former three division world champion Adrien Broner (30-1, 22 KOs) looked good fighting a totally shot looking and gun-shy John Molina in beating him by a one-sided 12 round unanimous decision. I already hear people claiming the fight may have been fixed or Molina took a dive etc etc.

People forget the 32-year-old Molina is coming off two brutal wars with Lucas Matthysse and Humberto Soto, both whom dropped Molina and beat him to a pulp. Not to mention John Molina has also been knocked out by Antonio Demarco in the first round a few years ago.

Broner blames his loss to Maidana on ‘fighting for the crowd’

broner44442222By Dan Ambrose: If you had the chance to catch former three division world champion Adrien Broner’s post-fight interview last night after his victory over a very timid-looking John Molina (27-6, 22 KOs), you’ll have noticed that Broner blamed his 2013 defeat at the hands of Marcos Maidana on Broner fighting for the crowd.

In other words, the only reason why Broner lost to Maidana was because he was trying to make it exciting for the crowd rather than him simply looking to fight smart and get a victory anyway possible.

Keith Thurman and Adrien Broner need to impress tonight

broner6666By Dan Ambrose: Tonight’s going to be a big fight for WBA 147 pound champion Keith Thurman (24-0, 21 KOs) and Adrien Broner (29-1, 22 KOs), because both of them have q lot of pressure on them to perform in their fights at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Both fighters are expected to win, as they’ve been matched against fighters that are clearly below them in the talent department. However, if they lose or fail to impress, it’s going to be a major setback for the both of them, because their adviser Al Haymon is grooming them for bigger fights in the future.

Guerrero vs. Thurman & Broner vs. Molina Jr next Saturday, March 7th

guerrero444By Dan Ambrose: WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman (24-0, 21 KOs) will be putting his unbeaten record on the line next Saturday night on March 7th in what could be the toughest fight of his career against former two division world champion Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero (32-2-1, 18 KOs) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Guerrero-Thurman fight will be televised on the inaugural Premier Boxing Champions card on NBC.

This is a fight where both guys have a lot to prove. Thurman needs to show that he can stay in the pocket and stand his ground rather than him running each time his opponent looks to throw a punch at him.
