Rios expects to give Bradley a tough fight on November 7th

rios99By Dan Ambrose: 29-year-old #3 WBO 147lb contender Brandon Rios (33-2-1, 24 KOs) plans on turning his November 7th title shot against WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (32-1-1, 12 KOs) into a huge and grueling war whether Bradley wants it to be one or not when the two fighters meet up on HBO Championship Boxing at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Bradley vs. Rios fight hasn’t been officially announced yet, but it’s expected to in the coming weeks. The deal is reportedly essentially completed for HBO. One of the things that needs to be worked out is the step aside deal for No.1 WBO mandatory challenger Sadam Ali.

bradley222By Chris Williams: Last Friday the World Boxing Organization ordered newly crowned WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley to start negotiations with WBO No.1 contender Sadam Ali for a fight that would take place before the end of the year. Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is likely to sit down with Ali’s promoter Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions to discuss a step aside deal for Ali to step aside for a certain amount of money.
