Bradley vs. Chaves ends in draw: Lee defeats Korobov

YouTube video
By Allan Fox: In a card filled with two highly controversial decisions, former two division world champion Tim Bradley (30-1-1, 12 KOs) fought to a controversial 12 round draw against the power punching Diego Chaves (23-2-1, 19 KOs) last Saturday night at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Bradley appeared to win the fight by a decision 12 round decision. However, the judges saw it differently, scoring it 116-112 for Chaves, 115-113 for Bradley and 114-114. The only think you could think of why Bradley came up empty in trying to get a victory is the collapse of his game in the last 4 rounds of the fight.

Bradley convinced he’ll beat Chaves

bradley91By Chris Williams: Tim Bradley (31-1, 12 KOs) tasted defeat for the first time in his career in his last fight in April of this year against Manny Pacquiao, but Bradley doesn’t believe that he’ll come up on the short end of the stick in his fight this Saturday night against Diego Chaves (23-2, 19 KOs).

Bradley believes 100 percent that he’s going to triumph over the 28-year-old Chaves and then move on to bigger and better things in the future. Bradley is helped in the fact that Chaves has never shown himself to be a particularly good fighter in the past, and that he’s just someone who is pretty much being brought in as an opponent.

Bradley interested in facing Khan

bradley677By Chris Williams: With his prospects for a big fight in the future not looking good right now, former two division world champion Tim Bradley (31-1, 12 KOs) says he’d like to face Amir Khan in the future. Bradley has pretty much run out of opponents to fight in his promoter Bob Arum’s Top Rank stable.

He’s twice fought Manny Pacquiao, and that’s not a fight that Arum can put together anytime soon due to the fight having already been overplayed. That leaves mostly little known fighters in Arum’s stable for Bradley.

Purses: Khan $950K, Alexander $600K, Thurman $500K, Bradley $2M, Chaves $35K

Amir Khan(Photo credit: Esther Lin/Showtime) By Dan Ambrose: Amir Khan (29-3, 19 KOs) will be receiving a $950,000 for his fight against Devon Alexander (26-2, 14 KOs) this Saturday night as the headline bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The fight will be televised on Showtime. Khan will likely receive additional money from the UK as part of the fight being televised on Sky. Alexander will be receiving $500,000 as the B-side in that fight.

In what’s really surprising is that former WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley (31-1, 12 KOs) will be receiving $2 million purse for his fight against Diego Chaves (23-2, 19 KOs) on HBO on the same night at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Tim Bradley says he’s hitting harder now

bradley73By Dan Ambrose: Former two division world champion Tim Bradley (31-1, 12 KOs) believes he’s developed some added power to his game after his recent loss to Manny Pacquiao last April.

Bradley says he hurt Pacquiao in that fight with some of his shots on three occasions, and he feels that’s an indication that he now has more power. Bradley doesn’t comment on the possibility that Pacquiao’s chin might not be the same since his one-punch knockout loss to Juan Manuel Marquez in 2012.

Bradley hints he’ll get dirty if Diego Chaves does on Saturday

bradley677By Dan Ambrose: Former two division world champion Tim Bradley is hoping that his opponent Diego Chaves keeps it clean when the two of them face each other this Saturday night at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada. Bradley thinks that Chaves is a dirty fighter, even though he’s never really shown himself to be an especially dirty fighter in the past.

Bradley is hinting that if Chaves chooses to make the fight dirty then he could respond with something to negate that. Just what Bradley will do is hard to say, but it would be a disappointment if he turned the fight into a head-butt and low blow affair just because he was fouled once or twice.
