Ariza still thinks Pacquiao can excel if he gets a new team behind him

1-01-1By Chris Williams: Alex Ariza, the strength and conditioning coach for Floyd Mayweather Jr. (48-0, 26 KOs), saw how Manny Pacquiao (57-6-2, 38 KOs) struggled last Saturday night in his one-sided defeat at the hands of Mayweather.

Ariza noticed that things were in a state of chaos in Pacquiao’s corner with his trainer Freddie Roach trying to come up with some kind of solution for what Mayweather was doing inside the ring. Ariza thinks that Pacquiao needs to get a new team behind him that can help him out so that he can bounce back and still be a top fighter.

Mayweather benefiting from strength coach Alex Ariza’s help in developing his punching power

arizaBy Chris Williams: With the help of his strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza, WBA/WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr (47-0, 26 KOs) is increasing his strength and punching power. Mayweather is now lifting weights with the help of Ariza, and this in turn is making Mayweather a bigger puncher than he ever was before.

Mayweather hasn’t been a weight lifter in the past, which would explain why he wasn’t knocking guys out after he moved out of his natural weight class at super featherweight. But now with Ariza having Mayweather lift weights, he’s developing punching power that he never had before.

Robert Garcia: Ariza won’t be with Rios, Mikey Garcia or Maidana any longer

ariza5634By Dan Ambrose: Trainer Robert Garcia says that he’ll no longer be using strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza for any of his fighters at his gym at Oxnard, California.

Robert isn’t saying why he’s cut ties with Ariza other than saying that they had some differences. This will effect Robert’s fighters Mikey Garcia, Marcos Maidana and Brandon Rios, all of which Ariza helped with their conditioning for their recent fights.

Brandon Rios has a fight coming up on August 2nd against Diego Chaves (23-1, 19 KO’s) at the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Rios is going to need someone good to help make weight for this fight at welterweight, because he barely made weight for his fight against Manny Pacquiao last year in November despite the fact that he was moving up in weight from the light welterweight division.

Alex Ariza: “This is the Mayweather I Like A lot More“

floyd9999By Danny Ech: World Renowned strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza, the man who trained Marcos Maidana alongside Robert Garcia for Maidana’s strength and condition and nutrition for his upcoming match against number one pound for pound Floyd Mayweather had a few things to say post fight. Alex Ariza is probably most popular for his outstanding work and one of the “master minds “alongside trainer Freddie Roach behind the success of the Great Manny Pacquiao and his rise to the top of the sport.

Alex Ariza also worked with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. but after some time and a few fall outs Ariza no longer works with either fighter and has now been dedicated to Marcos Chino Maidana. Now that the Mayweather vs. Maidana epic event has come and gone and the dust has settled a little bit I was curious to see how both teams felt about the fight after all the Showtime All Access & ESPN cameras were gone.
