By Eric Thomas: Former light welterweight and welterweight champion Zab Judah (38-6, 26 KO’s) was contacted by Golden Boy Promotions about a fight against World Boxing Association light welterweight interim champion Marcos Maidana (27-1, 26 KO’s), according to Boxing Talk. Judah, 32, said “Yeah, they reached out to my pops, but the numbers they were talking, it’s like they were speaking Chinese to us. It’s like I told you yesterday, if they ain’t coming with Oscar, they need to keep my name out of their mouth.”

Does Khan deserve fights against Marquez, Judah and Mayweather?
By William Mackay: In the news yesterday, The Sun reported that Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, speaking about World Boxing Association light welterweight champion Amir Khan, said “A fight against [Juan Manuel] Marquez is a breakthrough as he is one of the best and Mexico’s No 1 active fighter. Once he [Khan] wins against Marquez, there is the possibility of a fight against Zab Judah – and then [Floyd] Mayweather Jr.” Nothing was said about Khan having to fight WBA light welterweight interim champion Marcos Maidana, who the WBA had ordered Khan to fight.
Khan to fight Marquez on May 15th: Judah and Mayweather after that
By William Mackay: It now looks like World Boxing Association light welterweight champion Amir Khan (22-1, 16 KO’s) won’t be facing WBA light welterweight interim champion Marcos Maidana anytime soon, if ever. In an article with The Sun, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer says “A fight against [Juan Manuel] Marquez is a breakthrough as he is one of the best and Mexico’s No 1 active fighter. Once he [Khan] wins against Marquez, there is the possibility of a fight against Zab Judah – and then [Floyd] Mayweather Jr.”
News – Khan could be facing Zab Judah next
By William Mackay: World Boxing Association light welterweight champion Amir Khan (22-1, 16 KO’s) could be facing veteran Zab Judah (38-6, 26 KO’s), according to news from The Mirror. Apparently, Khan’s promoter Frank Warren is looking at the 32-year-old Judah as a potential next opponent for Khan in early 2010. Khan also could fight on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight on March 13th.
News – Judah vs. Montano on November 6th
By Eric Thomas: Former light welterweight and welterweight champion Zab Judah (37-6, 25 KO’s) will be fighting little known Ramon Montano (17-7-2, 2 KO’s) on November 6th in a 10 round stay busy fight at the Palms Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The choice of opponent for Judah seems rather disappointing to be sure, because Judah had the chance of fighting Antonio Diaz on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather vs. Juan Manuel Marquez bout on September 19th, and chose not to take the fight.
Judah back on Mayweather-Marquez Undercard – News
By Dave Lahr: Stop the press! It looks as if Zab Judah (37-6, 25 KO’s) will be gracing us with his presence after all and fighting on the September 19th undercard of the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Juan Manuel Marquez bout at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Judah vs. Mosley – a Possibility
By Eric Thomas: In the latest boxing news, Golden Boy Promotions is reportedly trying to set up a bout between Shane Mosley and Zab Judah. However, Judah, 31, a former light welterweight and undisputed welterweight champion, isn’t interested in fighting Mosley unless the offer is increased.
The Mayweather-Marquez Undercard Not that Great
By Chris Williams: While some boxing fans are excited about the undercard of the September 19th fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Nevada, I’m not one of them or close to being one of them. I see nothing but a bunch of faded stars and huge mismatches on the card and it doesn’t make me want to lay out the bread to purchase the fight on PPV.
Judah-Hatton bout in Jeopardy
By William Mackay: The September 19th bout between Matthew Hatton and former light welterweight/welterweight champion Zab Judah could be in doubt because Judah, 31, wants the bout to be fought at light welterweight – his new weight class – rather than at welterweight.
What has Matthew Hatton done to deserve to fight at the top level?
By Liam Santiago: There was once a time when only the very best could become a world champion. Every kid in a school playground could name the one champ of each division and titles such as inter-continental and commonwealth were unheard of. However, those days are long gone. Until recently, Matthew Hatton (37-4-1, 14ko’s) was in negotiations to fight Lovemore N’Dou for the IBO welterweight title. After terms could not be agreed for this bout the Manchester man has landed himself a fight with ring legend Zab Judah (37-6, 25ko’s). Someone tell me, what has Hatton done to deserve this?
