By Sean Bastow: Our final retirement in the world of boxing this past week is that of Timothy Bradley. He made his announcement whilst working as a commentator for the Vasyl Lomachenko vs Miguel Marriaga fight this past weekend.

Tim Bradley appreciation
By Gav Duthie: Someone needs to say it and I imagine I’d be waiting around forever if I didn’t do it myself, my post mortem of the career of Tim Bradley 33-2-1 (13) is that he is one of the most underrated and underappreciated fighter in recent memory. His achievements, accolades, skill, bravery, physical and mental toughness will be sorely missed and I just wanted to take the time to pay tribute to a boxing legend and hopefully future Hall of Famer.
Tim Bradley issues retirement statement
By Jeff Aranow: Former two division world champion Tim Bradley made his retirement from boxing official on Saturday in a statement letting fans know that he’s hanging up his gloves after 13 years as a pro. Bradley hasn’t seen the inside of ring for over a year since his 12 round unanimous loss to Manny Pacquiao in fight No.3 on April 9, 2016.
Bradley: Broner would make a good tune-up opponent
By Allan Fox: It’s been exactly one year since 33-year-old former 2 division world champion Tim Bradley (33-2-1, 13 KOs) last fought, and he’s saying he’d like to face Adrien “The Problem” Broner (33-2, 24 KOs) next, because he feels that would be a good “tune-up” bout for him. The 27-year-old Broner didn’t like being called a tune-up fight for Bradley. Broner tore into Bradley in a profanity laced post on his Instagram site. In a nutshell, Broner said he would beat Bradley up and beat his backside if the two of them fought each other.
Watch: Bradley: Errol Spence will be tested by Kell Brook
By Scott Gilfoid: Former two division world champion Tim Bradley expects Errol “The Truth” Spence Jr. (21-0, 18 KOs) is going to be really tested by a fighter he rates highly in IBF welterweight champion Kell “Special K” Brook (36-1, 25 KOs) in their fight in a little over 1 months on May 27 at Bramall Lane in Sheffield, England. Bradley, 33, says that if Spence can pass that test, it will say a lot about his talent level. According to Bradley, it doesn’t matter how Spence beats Brook just as long as he gets past him with the victory.
Spence is going to do something to Brook says Bradley
By Scott Gilfoid: Tim Bradley likes Errol Spence’s chances of going into the UK and beating IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-1, 25 KOs) in their upcoming fight. The date of their fight hasn’t been confirmed, but the latest news is that it’ll take place on either May 27 or June 3 in Sheffield, England.
Tim Bradley talking retirement after 2 more fights
By Chris Williams: Former two division world champion Tim “Desert Storm” Bradley (33-2-1, 13 KOs) could be retiring from boxing after he finishes out his existing two-year contract with his promoters at Top Rank in August 2018. It’s probably a good thing that Bradley is retiring soon. He could get hurt if he faces someone good.
Bradley, 33, only fought once in 2016 in losing a lopsided 12 round unanimous decision to Manny Pacquiao in April in a fight that few fans were interested in seeing. Now with the cycle of rematches against 38-year-old Pacquiao appearing to be done, Bradley doesn’t have a lot of options for big money fights at 147.
WBC orders Spence vs. Bradley fight
By Dan Ambrose: The WBC has ordered a fight between former two division world champion Tim Bradley and #1 IBF Errol Spence Jr. to take place for a WBC welterweight eliminator match. Top Rank, the promoters for the 33-year-old Bradley, are reportedly going to speak with him to see if he’s interested in fighting the 26-year-old Spence.
It would be a risky move for Bradley (33-2-1, 13 KOs) to take the fight with Spence, because he’s bigger, stronger, younger and probably just an all-around much better fighter. It could be a disaster for Bradley if he and Spence were to fight.
Arum: Pacquiao vs. Crawford possible for April 2017
By Chris Williams: Top Rank promoter Bob Arum plans on trying to put together a fight between his two fighters Manny Pacquiao and Terence Crawford in April 2017 on Top Rank pay-per-view. Arum wanted to make the fight between Pacquiao (58-6-2, 38 KOs) and Crawford (29-0, 20 KOs) for November 5, but Pacquiao instead chose to fight World Boxing Organization 147lb champion Jessie Vargas (27-1, 10 KOs) at Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 84-year-old Arum says he’s going to try again to match Pacquiao and Crawford against each other by trying match them in April next year. Crawford has a fight on December 10 on HBO World Championship Boxing that he needs to first.
Canelo, Pacquiao & Crawford: Fighters facing the best
By Angel Flowers: We have seen recently boxers from all divisions avoiding the tough fights while fighting people who match up favorably against them. With so many titles running around any half decent boxer can get one if they are at the right place at the right time. Unfortunately they then refuse to fight other champions who have raised themselves above the common contenders, everyone is concerned with becoming the next Floyd “Money” Mayweather and do not want to put themselves in a position where they have to fight the tough fights and risk losing their undefeated status.
There are boxers out there though who buck this trend by fighting other world champions to test themselves. I am not speaking about fighters who battle contenders holding a lesser version of a title, I am talking about the cream of the crop. In their last ten fights I think it is obvious which fighters have fought the tough fights and which ones have been running.
