Canelo Alvarez
Santos Saul Álvarez Barragán, better known as Canelo, which translates to ‘cinnamon’ for his fiery red hair, has spiced up the boxing scene since his debut. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, in 1990, this pugilist has clinched world championships across four weight divisions, making him a staple in the Hall of Fame pantry. Canelo unified titles in three divisions and claimed lineal championships in two, notably overpowering Miguel Cotto in 2015 for the WBC, Ring, and lineal middleweight crowns. Outside the ring, Canelo’s life is just as sweet, sharing it with his two kids, Emily Cinnamon Alvarez and Mía Ener Álvarez, and his wife, Fernanda Gómez, since 2021. According to Forbes, Canelo is worth at least $275 million!

By Jason Kim: If Golden Boy Promotions ends up using James Kirkland as the replacement opponent to face their up and coming star WBC junior middleweight champion Saul Alvarez for his next fight on September 15th on pay per view, Golden Boy might regret it if Kirkland’s recent surgically operated on right shoulder gets further injured in training for the fight.

Mayweather’s best options for his next fight – Saul Alvarez or Cotto rematch
By Chris Williams: Floyd Mayweather Jr. has to look for the biggest name he can find in his next fight later on this year. Mayweather made big bank in his win over WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto earlier this month, and it’s not likely that Mayweather will want to see himself take a pay cut to face some of the up and coming fighters in the division that still haven’t reached super stardom like Mayweather.
