By Wayne Lloyd: On March 17th evening at the Motorpoint arena in Sheffield we witnessed the birth of a new boxing superstar. Kell Brook (27-0, 18 KO’s) systematically defeated and dismantled a tough, rugged and determined former World Championship contender – Matthew Hatton (50-42-6) – over 12 rounds with a unanimous points decision victory.

Khan: The last five guys I beat would beat Kell Brook
By Sean McDaniel: If unbeaten welterweight contender Kell Brook (27-0, 18 KO’s) is looking for a big name like former IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan (26-2, 18 KO’s) to fight next or anytime soon, then Brook needs to forget all about it because Khan came out recently said he has absolutely no interest in fighting Brook because he’s unproven and it wouldn’t be a fight.
Mosley has other options after Alvarez fight; Kell Brook wants him in July
By William Mackay: 40-year-old Shane Mosley (46-7-1, 39 KO’s) probably never thought he’s stick around long enough to find himself at the bottom of the boxing chain with the young lions like WBC junior middleweight champion Saul Alavarez (39-0-1, 29 KO’s) using him to add a notch on his belt the easy way now that Mosley has lost a lot of his once impressive skills.
Kell Brook back in action on July 7th, but likely against another soft opponent
By William Mackay: Undefeated welterweight contender Kell Brook will make a quick return to action on July 7th, according to World Boxing News. The fight will be taking place in the UK rather than the United States and Brook’s opponent is probably not going to be any of the big names – Marcos Maidana, Shane Mosley and Paulie Malignaggi – that Brook’s promoter Eddie Hearn is hoping to bring over to Britain.
Will Hearn be able to lure Maidana, Malignaggi or Mosley to the UK to fight Kell Brook?
By William Mackay: Eddie Hearn, the promoter for unbeaten Kell Brook, doesn’t appear ready to put Brook against a dangerous opponent yet despite his talk of wanting to match him tough in his next fight. In an interview with Sky Sports, Hearn revealed his plans for Brook’s next fight in the summer by saying he wants to get one of the following fighters over to the UK to fight Brook: Marcos Maidana, Paulie Malignaggi and Shane Mosley.
Hearn wants to bring Maidana, Malignaggi or Mosley to the UK for Kell Brook’s next fight
By Scott Gilfoid: Kell Brook’s promoter Eddie Hearn thinks he can drag 40-year-old Shane Mosley, Paulie Malignaggi or Marcos Maidana all the way over to the UK to be undefeated welterweight contender Kell Brook’s next opponent in the summer. Hearn is looking for a big name, but it looks as if he’s shooting for a big name but not a dangerous name that could school Brook and expose him as being limited in front of his on British fans.
Kell Brook needs to fight someone good in his next fight
By Scott Gilfoid: If you’re like a lot of people you’re wondering when undefeated welterweight contender Kell Brook (27-0, 18 KO’s) will finally face someone with a pulse and isn’t on flat line. Brook has been matched way too softly for way too long in his career and it’s really sad to see. I mean, I know boxing fans give WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. a lot of grief for the soft matchmaking he’s had in his eight year pro career, but Brook is much, much worse in the soft matchmaking in my view.
Impressive win over Hatton opens doors for Brook
By David Coleman: Kell Brook’s impressive victory over Matthew Hatton may prove to be the most important of his career so far, as he sets his sights on a world title tilt. The Sheffield man never looked troubled when dealing with the game Mancunian and this showed on the scorecards with all three judges scoring it as a landslide victory for the unbeaten fighter.
Hatton made the mistake of fighting Brook; now he can forget about a title shot
By William Mackay: #9 WBA, #10 IBF welterweight contender Matthew Hatton (42-6-2, 16 KO’s) may have messed up what little chance he had at getting another world title shot in the near future by taking on undefeated Kell Brook (27-0, 18 KO’s) and suffering a one-sided 12 round unanimous decision loss for his efforts last Saturday night. At the time Hatton was close enough to get a world title shot if one of the champions were to show interest in fighting him.
Kell Brook’s promoter targeting Maidana, Mosley, Alexander or Malignaggi for Brook’s next fight in the summer
By William Mackay: Eddie Hearn, undefeated welterweight contender Kell Brook’s promoter, says he’s looking at trying to match hi against one of the following fighters this summer in the UK: Shane Mosley, Marcos Maidana, Devon Alexander, or Paulie Malignaggi. Hearn has already mentioned former IBF/WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan as being the #1 fighter on the list that he’d like to see Brook face next in a dream pay-per-view event. However, Hearn is open-minded enough to realize that Khan will probably not show any interest in that fight for the time being.
