Keith Thurman wants Mayweather in 2015

ThurmanBunduLVWorkout_Hoganphotos1(Photo credit: Hogan Photos) By Jim Dower: Interim WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman (23-0, 21 KOs) is targeting a fight against unbeaten pound-for-pound fighter Floyd Mayweather Jr (47-0, 26 KOs) in 2015. Thurman, 26, knows that this could be his last chance at getting a fight against the 37-year-old Mayweather due to him heading towards retirement.

Thurman feels that if he can beat someone like Marcos Maidana in an impressive fashion on his first try, then it would be enough for him to get a fight against Mayweather in 2015.

This Saturday, Thurman will be fighting undefeated 40-year-old Leonard Bundu (31-0-1, 11 KOs) in a highly visible fight card on Showtime from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Keith Thurman not overlooking Leonard Bundu

thurman432By Jim Dower: Interim WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman (23-0, 21 KOs) won’t be overlooking his 40-year-old opponent Leonard Bundu (31-0-1, 11 KOs) this Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Thurman knows full well that Bundu, #3 WBC, #4 WBA, has the kind of talent to give anyone problems in the 147 pound division.

Bundu is coming off of a 12 round split decision upset win over previously unbeaten Frankie Gavin in his last fight in August of this year. Bundu came in and beat Gavin in his own country in front of his own fans.

Keith Thurman vs. Leonard Bundu possible for December 13th

thurman666By Allan Fox: WBA interim welterweight champion Keith Thurman (23-0, 21 KOs) is being talked about facing unbeaten 39-year-old EBU welterweight champion Leonard Bundu (31-0-2, 11 KOs) on the undercard of the December 13th fight card headlined by Amir Khan vs. Devon Alexander at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

If Bundu does turn out to be Thurman’s next opponent, it’ll be a potentially difficult fight for Thurman. Bundu, 5’6 ½”, has a lot of power, and a difficult fighting style for someone coming off of a shoulder injury like Thurman.

How Keith Thurman Gets His Big Fight

thurman7By Matt Wood: Anyone following World Boxing Association interim welterweight champion Keith Thurman (23-0, 21 KOs) knows he’s being underutilized in the boxing game. He remains undefeated and has stopped ten of his last eleven opponents.

Despite his stellar record and a very fan-friendly style, he has yet to face a top-1o welterweight. Everyone knows his predicament: he’s a high-risk, low reward fighter who currently can’t bring an A-side fan base.

Three fights I’d like to see other than Mayweather/Pacquiao Pt. 1

golovkin000By Victor Candelario: Don’t me wrong me and boxing fans alike would love to see Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38 KOs) take on the #1 pound for pound boxer in the sport Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr (47-0-0 26 KOs) and see if he can hand Floyd the first loss of his career but lets be realistic, the fight has lost a ton of its luster. Both fighters have showed in recent fights to be well past there primes, and if the fight were to occur I can see a ton of excuses as to why Floyd or Pacquiao were defeated coming from fans.

Just to name the two most common arguments that would be made, Floyd fans would say Floyd lost because he was past his prime , and Manny fans would say Manny was past his prime should he lose. So neither fighter at this point would get the same credit for defeating the other as they would have 7 years ago, when they were both at the top of the sport, at there best.

Thurman willing to fight Khan in UK, says he’ll KO him

thurman666By Scott Gilfoid: Amir Khan (29-3, 19 KOs) has been talking lately about how he wishes Floyd Mayweather Jr would agree to fight him in the UK, because he feels it would be a huge fight if that were to happen.

Obviously it’s not going to happen I this lifetime since Mayweather isn’t going to use up one of his last remaining fights by fighting one of his B-side opponents in their home country. But there is a fighter who is willing to fight Khan in the UK, and that’s WBA interim welterweight champion Keith Thurman (23-0, 21 KOs). He’s saying he’ll go over to the UK, and he’ll knock Khan out as well.
