Booth feels that Vitali might lose to Solis in March, and because of that Booth wants Haye to go after the short, slow and old Mormeck, who has looked absolutely horrible since moving up to the heavyweight division in 2009.

By Dan Ambrose: Former WBA/WBC cruiserweight champion Jean Marc Mormeck (36-4, 22 KO’s) says he wants a rematch with World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s), who beat him three years ago in a 7th round TKO win in November 2007. Mormeck, now 38, has since moved up to the heavyweight division and is currently ranked #10 IBF and #12 WBA. Mormeck struggled on Thursday to defeat 2nd tier heavyweight Timur Ibragimov, beating him by a narrow 12 round split decision at the Halle Carpentier, Paris XIII, Paris, France.

Klitschko, 34, easily dispatched Samuel Peter in a one-sided 10th round TKO last Saturday night in Frankfurt, Germany. Wladimir says “I would like to fight on the 4th or 11th of December again.”

This isn’t the first time that the IBF has done this, as they did in 2008 with Chris Byrd, Alexander Povetkin, Calvin Brock and Eddie Chambers. In an article at the Bankkokpost, the 37-year-old Mormeck says “I’m convinced if he’d [Haye] fought either of the Klitschko brothers instead of [John] Ruiz, he would have lost the fight inside the distance. He’s not ready to fight either of them. One day, he will be, but it’s still too early for him.”

Mormeck, 35, is coming off a 12-round unanimous decision over O’Neil Bell in March 2007, a bout in which Mormeck won the WBC & WBA cruiserweight titles.
