Brook still doesn’t have a world title belt at junior middleweight, but he captured the WBC Silver 154 lb. title last Saturday. That’s not a world title, but it puts him in the position to fight WBC champion Jermell Charlo. That fight is there for Brook if he and his promoter Eddie Hearn are willing to take it.

The International Boxing Federation has now ordered a purse bid on March 6th for the Spence-Ocampo fight, according to Dan Rafael.

Thurman says those people that think Spence can beat him will wind up losing their money for betting on him. Thurman says it won’t be his fault that they lost their money. It’ll be his fault that he beat Spence.

While the outcome for Garcia (34-1, 20 KOs) was a good one with him knocking out the 31-year-old Rios with a big right hand in the 9th, it doesn’t solve his problems of how he’s going to be able to win another world title at 147 with the belts held by Keith Thurman, Errol Spence Jr., Lucas Matthysse and soon Terence Crawford.
