Over the last few years Amir Khan has attracted a great deal of interest on this site and I would like to add my views on the Bolton man before discussing the Alexander fight further.

Mayweather waiting Khan vs Alexander result before deciding on next opponent?
By BK: Floyd Mayweather Jr is reportedly waiting on the result of the upcoming Amir Khan vs Devon Alexander fight in December before thinking about making his next announcement on his next opponent in May 2015.
Mayweather hasn’t been vocal about what direction he is going towards for his next fight but there is some big fights out there for Floyd if he wants a big paycheck, here is a list of them.
Khan v Alexander: Amir’s toughest ever opponent
By B.G.B: Paulie Malignaggi, Marcos Maidana, Zab Judah, Lamont Peterson, Danny Garcia; these five fighters are without question the best opposition that Amir Khan has faced in his career. All five have been (or still are) world champions and are indeed world-class fighters. Khan’s record against these five is 3 wins and 2 losses. He stopped both Malignaggi and Judah and edged out Maidana in a fierce and memorable encounter. He narrowly lost to Peterson in a bout that could have gone either way regardless of the controversies surrounding the aftermath. He was however brutally battered by Garcia and eventually stopped in the 4th round in a fight that shocked the boxing world to an extent.

Live to formally announce “ROYAL BATTLE” on Saturday, Dec. 13, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas; live on SHOWTIME (9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT). Khan must impress against Alexander to have chance for Mayweather fight
By Scott Gilfoid: #1 WBC welterweight contender Amir Khan (29-3, 19 KOs) will be the headliner act against #4 IBF Devon Alexander (26-2, 14 KOs) on December 13th at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
This is likely Khan’s last chance to earn a fight against WBA/WBC 147 pound champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. If Khan fails to beat Alexander of if he fails to impress in this fight, then it’s pretty much over for Khan in terms of him getting a fight against Mayweather.
Khan-Alexander, Thurman-Bundu & Andrade-Charlo official for December 13th
By Scott Gilfoid: The December 13th Showtime Championship Boxing card is now official with former IBF/WBA 140 pound champion Amir Khan (29-3, 19 KOs) facing former two division world champion Devon Alexander (26-2, 14 KOs) in the headliner fight at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Amir Khan with it all to lose on December 13th
by Johnnie Farquhar: Amir Khan (29-3-0) will be facing Devon Alexander (26-2-0) on December 13th in what some have dubbed, a ‘stay-busy’ fight to cement a dream bout with the pound-for-pound king, Floyd Mayweather. After his losses to Lamont Peterson and Danny Garcia had left him floundering in the depths of the 140 pound division, Khan has been a road to recovery, moving up in weight and facing opponents who many have deemed inadequate for the Olympic silver medallist. The ‘tune-up’ fights against a lightweight sized Carlos Molina, and average journey-man Julio Diaz, however, proved more challenging than expected for the Bolton man, but a recent fight with Luis Collazo on the undercard of Mayweather and Maidana’s first meeting convinced many that Khan still has the speed and boxing ability to completely dominate an opponent, be it a lethargic Collazo.
