Image: Tyson Fury needs to target Chisora and Martin Rogan in 2011By Sean McDaniel: Unbeaten heavyweight Tyson Fury (13-0, 9 KO’s) is looking for an opponent for his next fight in the near year for February. Although no one has been selected at this time, a good choice for the 6’9″ Fury would be unbeaten heavyweight contender Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s), who doesn’t have a scheduled opponent right now after IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko pulled out of their recent fight due to an abdominal tear.

Did Wladimir duck Chisora?

Image: Did Wladimir duck Chisora?By Dave Lahr: IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) was supposed to be fighting unbeaten Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) recently, but Wladimir suddenly came up late the week of the fight complaining of a abdominal injury. At first I figured that no way Wladimir would ever consider ducking someone like Chisora, but after seeing photos of Wladimir golfing recently, I just don’t know. I may be wrong but doesn’t golfing require a lot of abdominal muscle use when swinging those big golf clubs?

Wladimir must do the right thing and face Chisora, or relinquish his titles

Image: Wladimir must do the right thing and face Chisora, or relinquish his titlesBy Shaun Campbell: Now, first of all I would like to say that I believe the fight that should have been made was Wladimir Klitschko verses David Haye. Other than that I do not see an interesting, even, competitive fight in the heavyweight division. A man that will certainly disagree with that is another British fighter called Derek Chisora. Chisora (who is the current British and Commonwealth champion) was obviously due to face Klitschko for the IBO, IBF, and WBO titles on December 11th, but an injury forced the world champion to pull out.

Haye not in any kind of hurry to fight Wladimir even with Chisora fight cancellation

Image: Haye not in any kind of hurry to fight Wladimir even with Chisora fight cancellationBy William Mackay: You would think that World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s) and his trainer/manager Adam Booth would be happy with the news that IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko’s recent injury and cancellation of his fight with Dereck Chisora this weekend. However, Booth is saying that this doesn’t change a thing and that they’re not going to suddenly rush in and necessarily fight Wladimir now.

Warren says Chisora will be fighting Klitschko next year

Image: Warren says Chisora will be fighting Klitschko next yearBy Dan Ambrose: It looks like IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s) will still be fighting Dereck Chisora (14-0, 9 KO’s) after all. Klitschko pulled out of his scheduled fight with Chisora this Saturday night complaining of a bad abdominal tear that will require at least six weeks to heal. Since then, there’s been a lot of talk about Wladimir bypassing the Chisora fight and moving on to a big money unification bout against World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight champion David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s) next after Wladimir’s injury heals.

Chisora, 26, worked hard during training camp and hoping to get a once in a lifetime shot against Klitschko. However, that was taken away form him when Klitschko suddenly pulled out of the fight due to a reported two inch tear of his left abdominal muscle.

Does the Klitschko fight being canceled damage pay per view sales on Saturday?

Image: Does the Klitschko fight being canceled damage pay per view sales on Saturday?By Dallan o’ Donnell: With Wladamir Klitschko pulling out of his scheduled heavyweight title defence against Dereck Chisora on Saturday night in Germany with an apparent back injury, the question that needs to be asked is has this damaged pay per view sales on a bill that has been depleted? I would think so. Not only has the Klitschko-Chisora fight been called off but the whole undercard has gone also, leaving Sky, the broadcaster with just the bill from Liverpool and the Amir Khan fight against Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas.
