Deontay Wilder predicts 2nd round KO over Bermane Stiverne on 1/17
By Scott Gilfoid: #1 WBC Deontay Wilder (32-0, 32 KOs) sees himself racking up his 33rd consecutive knockout next month when he challenges for the WBC heavyweight title against 36-year-old Bermane Stiverne (24-1-1, 21 KOs) at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Deontay believes he’ll get to Stiverne’s chin early in the fight perhaps as early as the 2nd round. At worst, Deontay thinks the fight can last as long as four rounds, but that’s as far as he sees Stiverne being able to go before he knocks him out.
Deontay Wilder vs. Bermane Stiverne official for Jan. 17th
By Scott Gilfoid: WBC heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne (24-1-1-, 21 KOs) will be getting it on in a little more than a month from how on Showtime Championship Boxing from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Atlas: Tarver matches up with Deontay Wilder
By Scott Gilfoid: ESPN commentator Teddy Atlas skewered unbeaten #1 WBC heavyweight contender Deontay Wilder (32-0, 32 KOs) last night on the Austin Trout vs. Luis Grajeda card from Temecula, California. Atlas said that 46-year-old #10 WBA Antonio Tarver (31-6, 22 KOs) would match up with the 6’7” Deontay, and feels that it would be a competitive fight that he’d like to see.
Tarver defeated Johnathon Banks by a 7th round knockout last night in a very boring fight with little action until the final round. Tarver showed an incredibly low work rate in the fight, and it’s hard to understand where Atlas was coming from in comparing him with a splendid puncher like Deontay.
The dream fights (2015 – 2016)
By James Sexton: 2014 was a slow year for boxing. Not many great fights, not many new developments. The good points of the year seemed few and far between. Despite this there are possible fights which could be put together in the next few years that I as a long time fan would love to see. I am just going to go over a few potential matchups in this article, some more likely than others.
Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao
I am sorry. I had to say it. This must be the most done to death subject in the sport so I will not go into it, 2015 however seems to be the best chance we have had in a while and could also be the last chance.
Deontay plans on putting Stiverne out of his misery in January
By Scott Gilfoid: Undefeated #1 WBC Deontay Wilder (32-0, 32 KOs) plans on making quick work of WBC heavyweight champion Bermane Stiverne (24-1-1, 21 KOs) in their fight next month on January 17th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The 6’7” Deontay doesn’t plan on letting Stiverne hang around for long in this fight before he puts him away. Deontay wants to get Stiverne out of there as quick as possible, and he’s got a good opportunity to make that happen.
Nelson thinks Fury can beat Wilder and Stiverne
By Scott Gilfoid: Sky Sports commentator Johnny Nelson believes that #4 WBO Tyson Fury (23-0, 17 KOs) has the talent to beat WBC champion Bermane Stiverne and unbeaten knockout artist Deontay Wilder (32-0, 32 KOs).
Nelson doesn’t, however, think that the 6’9” Fury can beat IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, who Fury will be facing at some point in 2015. Nelson still believes that the 6’6” Wladimir has too much talent for Fury to deal with at this point.
